Week 11 Game Discussion Thread

WHAT A WAY TO LOSE

Let's take a quick trip to Big Sky Country, where FCS No. 2 Montana stayed unbeaten in about the stupidest way possible. Eastern Washington quarterback Jake Schakel got the Eagles within 29-24 thanks to a touchdown pass with 1:01 remaining, and EWU recovered the ensuing onside kick. The Eagles were at the Montana 9-yard line with no timeouts and the clock dwindling when all hell broke loose. Schakel attempted to spike the ball to stop the clock with about 6 seconds left, but the ball slipped out of his hand before he could do so. Time ran out while the players battled to recover the fumble, ending the game.

Ohio State vs. Purdue-Fort Wayne, Friday, Nov. 7, 630 PM, BTN

Do like having a legitimate 4 in the game, at the 4, not the 5. When the xfer shows up, he'll have to beat out Tilly, and the Croatian freshman. Certainly the scoring needs to be evened out, Thornton cannot be expected to score 30+ every night. Devin doesn't look entirely settled at the 3, hasn't taken the mid-range jumper much, and looks to revert to his playing the 4 days (which isn't all bad, but...). Do believe that the cake is in the over, and rising (or falling) as it cooks. Excuse the food analogy, need breakfast, but I find it fascinating how this team is growing, and finding their levels within the parameters of the team, and who's on the floor at the time. Go Bucks!

Is This The Best OSU Team Ever?

In my living memory it's between 1998 and 2019 teams.

Jury is still out on this one for reasons listed but there is no doubt it could have some of the best talent we've ever seen at OSU in Smith, Downs, Sayin and Reece getting himself into those kind of conversations.
You should be ashamed of yourself young man. Now you march your hiney right into the tight ends room and apologize!

The Cleveland Cavaliers have a new, familiar face as part of their coaching staff this season.
Former Ohio State center Kosta Koufos joined the wine and gold this offseason. The Canton, Ohio, native will be a member of the Cavs' player development staff this season, according to a source.

Before Cleveland's win over the Philadelphia 76ers on Wednesday night, Koufos was seen working out with Cavs center Thomas Bryant.

The 7-footer concluded his 11-year NBA career in 2019. He averaged 5.7 points, 5.0 rebounds and 0.7 blocks per game while playing for five different teams throughout his career. His best season came in 2012-13, when Koufos averaged 8.0 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.3 blocks per game in 22.4 minutes per contest across 81 starts, all of which were career-highs.
Following his NBA career, Koufos signed with CSKA Moscow in the EuroLeague, a two-year, $6 million deal that made the big man the highest-paid American in Europe at the time.
In his lone season at Ohio State in 2007-08, the former Buckeye averaged 14.4 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.8 blocks in 27.1 minutes per game. He was named the 2007-08 NIT MVP and was also on the Big Ten All-Freshman team.
