Cincinnati Reds (2026 Season Thread)

Ahead of his time as in 3 true outcome guy > singles hitters (normal singles hitters, not Boggs)

And for the record, 20.8 of his career 25.g fWAR was delivered during his 7 years as a Red. 2.97 WAR per year with a high of 5.3 in '04 and people were bitching about strikeouts and him jogging to the outfield while we had the worst pitching in the league.
I mean, he’s no Mark Grace either. I get where you are coming from, btw. I mean, I take Dunn all day everyday over Dave Kingman.

$4.49 a gallon, what do you have??

Naw, one of the first things Trump did is put the OK on shale drilling. Before Biden closed it down, the USA was a net exporter of oil. Reduce the supply, prices go up. Suppliers see that the USA needed oil, and lo and behold, the price went up. Out here in Cali, hard to tell, as the gas tax is so high, never certain whether the 'temporary' taxes are over, or if the base price is being lowered. But have seen some of the off-brands selling for less than $4. Not by much, around $3.80.

The Denver Broncos announced on Tuesday that they plan to build a new retractable roof stadium with Burnham Yard, a historic district of Denver, as the preferred site. The project, which will be privately funded by the Walton-Penner Family Ownership Group, has a targeted completion date that would allow it to open in time for the 2031 season.

Wow a successful team/ownership privately funding a stadium. Look at that Ohio.

High School St. Henry Redskins

Recollect that every tOSU coach made a stop at St. Henry, to recruit their best and finest. These days, maybe not so much. But in it's day, St. Henry was every bit a viable pipeline as Glenville. Glenville has survived, and continues to produce D-1 players (most of whom matriculate to tOSU), versus St. Henry, seems not so much. Have no doubt that alot/many of the St. Henry grads get football scholarships, just not so many get one from tOSU. Just my opinion, and being a slave to recruiting.

the golf thread

Out here we play golf 12 months a year. Granted, not as diligent during winter (when we tee it up, it's been 42 outside), but still is playable. Not a lot of grass, given that the bermuda goes dormant in winter, but can bump it to get a bit of leverage under the ball. However, need something to do in winter, so have given an eye to the work-out rooms at a course, a bubbled up pool would be nice. But, have been playing at a golf-only courses for last 30 years. And of course, need a dining room to take my wife 'where everybody knows your name', but C'bus has some very fine dining options. Do appreciate your help AKAK.

WR Emeka Egbuka (All B1G, All-American, National Champion, Tampa Bay Buccaneers)

I think he might be the one in love with TEs. Some of the stuff they did this year is the same as the start of ‘23 when he was first an OC. Traynum was used more at FB and went on a wheel route game one.

I thought they would start manipulating personnel to get mismatches on PA, but it doesn’t look like that’s the case. Might be better if Hartline takes a week in Florida and then comes back to see what Day and co have been doing.
It’s why I want a JT Barrett for coordinator ..he knows modern offense from Ben Johnson …
