That was a fun one. 13-6 loss in 2001 where OSU missed an XP and two short field goal attempts. And the only OSU TD was on a punt block. One of Tressel’s first games here.

We're going to need the next guys up next year. I'm glad he's getting real minutes and doing well this year.

Last time we played the Bruins Steve Bellisari put up some truly putrid numbers: 5-23 for 45 yards with 0 TDs and 2 INTs. Also chipped in 9 carries for 15 yards.

Kinda hard to compete for an ACC title being in the Big 12

So far this year we've seen:

The game where they couldn't seemingly stop the other team from scoring.

The game where they didn't want to stop giving the ball to the other team.

And tonight, the game where they basically sleepwalked through the first 15 minutes and then turned it all the way around.

OSU certainly seemed to play with some more confidence and grit as they were getting back in it in the first half. Hopefully they don't loosen up in the second half.

I'm a little disappointed with Noel this game. With Royal out, OSU needs him to step up and take more of a scoring role, and he's twice passed the ball when he had a chance to go to work in the midrange.

Wow, don't remember that. Maybe it got switched from Reasons to Bentley over the years in my memory, but the image of Bentley doing that and just continuing on to the bench is etched. And in my fruitless search for the Bentley incident, I came across a Reddit thread where they discuss Mike Brown hiring Shula over Bill Cowher, LOL, because David's father was successful like his was. Seems like one could spend a whole lifetime researching how Mikey has screwed his dad's franchise and still not discover all of them.

App State was picked to finish 7/14 in the sun belt by the coaches preseason. This would be about the equivalent of losing to a 16 seed in the tournament
