Week 11 Game Discussion Thread

That’s gonna be a fun weekend for the early games. Get to watch the start of IU Penn State. Swap to the Buckeyes and at halftime watch a little more IU Pedsters. Then back to the Buckeyes and after we’re slaughtering Purdue watch the end of IU if it’s close or swap right to Oregon at Iowa if both games are blowouts. This must be a week where CBS got the first pick. The 3:30 slot is loaded with good backup games if the Oregon Iowa gets boring. Watch some Navy ND and of that gets out of hand LSU Bama is a great backup. A

Arvell Reese, Sonny Styles and Caden Curry are being recognized as three of the best defensive players in the country.
All three Ohio State defenders were named Tuesday as semifinalists for the Lombardi Award, which honors college football’s best lineman or linebacker. Ohio State is the only school with three players among the 13 semifinalists for the award.
Reese and Styles were also named Tuesday as two of the 12 semifinalists for the Butkus Award, which honors college football’s best linebacker.
Reese has been one of Ohio State’s top breakout stars this season, leading the Buckeyes with 54 tackles, including nine tackles for loss and 6.5 sacks.
Styles has also been a standout alongside Reese, recording 45 tackles – with zero missed tackles, per Pro Football Focus – with 2.5 tackles for loss, a forced fumble, an interception and a pass breakup.
Curry has been one of college football’s most productive defensive ends, recording 37 tackles with 10.5 tackles for loss and seven sacks in Ohio State’s first eight games of the season.
The winners of the Lombardi and Butkus Awards will be announced in December.

WR Jeremiah Smith (All B1G, B1G Frosh/WR of Year, All-American, 2025 Rose Bowl Off MVP, National Champion)

Jenkins putting up 2,746 yards in years 2001, 2002 and 2003 just does not compute to my rational mind.

I saw the QB's he had. I saw the offenses he played in, the coach, the era.

Adjusted for inflation that's gotta be like 9,000 yards today.
Well we ran just enough Dave to air it out. It kept the defenses honest.

"Holy Buckeye" has to be worth 1,000 yards on its own.

For our pleasure.

Ohio State Wrestling (2015/2017/2018 B1G Champs, 2015 National Champs, 2019 National Runners-up)

Looks like we had a pretty good tourney overall. Gotta say I'm surprised on McCrone over Bouzakis, @MPhillips do you think Bouzakis is having the initial fatigue of bumping down to 125? McCrone isn't chopped liver, but I'm a bit surprised at the result there.

Great to see Paddy, Fishback, and somewhat on Geog. With Rogotzke losing I shouldn't be too shocked, he's a big move guy and everyone in the OSU room knows it and would be better at defending against it. Feldman had a nice tourney as well.
