More to that, it appears to me they have lowered percentages against the bad teams and significantly improve against the better defenses. This may be an indication that they are very conservative in those games against the Kent States of the world

They are literally 25th in the nation in 3rd down conversion rate. There’s room to improve but it’s already been a massive improvement from where it was to now.

Not a ton of catches yet, but they've gotten real minutes, blocked, and must be doing things right in practice and the WR and Offense rooms or they wouldn't be getting the time. I could see either or both of them, as well as Bell, being like Olave and others of their predecessors and come on strong at the back end of the season. I’m glad I’m not the only one who thinks this. Every time I see 11 and 15 on the field, they are blocking their asses off. Refreshingly so.

The team is gonna go as he goes, excited to see how he continues to mature this year. Gonna need a lot of that maturity this week.

Not exactly comparable, but I felt the same way watching Zeke’s highlights back then. Small private school and he was running THROUGH that competition.

Even then, I think I’d assume small school Wisconsin ball to be a step below small school Missouri ball.

Edit: They’re actually in Wisconsin’s second largest division. They moved up after winning the D3 title in 2024. I stand corrected about “small schools”

Accountability for this sits with Sayin. To even try to take JJ off the table you have to at least double him and someone is open. He just doesn't always see it. I get that this is like me criticizing a strike out against a major league pitcher. I know things move REALLY fast, BUT that's what he's supposed to be good at; fast processing speed, quick release, knows the offense, etc.
