B1G CCG: #1 tOSU vs #2 Indiana in Indy, Sat. Dec 6th, 8 ET on FOX

I heard an IU beat writer say that Texas, Penn State, UM had good DLs, but Ohio State hadn’t seen a DL like Indiana’s yet this season. They still have a starter and key rotation player from JMU on that line. I think Ohio State will be okay.

By that logic, IU hasn't played a single team with the talent OSU has at any position group.

Not sure they want to take this line of reasoning all the way to it's reality based end.

tOSU Recruiting Discussion

Good stuff, Brody. Unfortunately, today's people, are me, me, me, and now, now, now. That makes the NIL very important. And have to assume that every football player coming out of HS are assured (in their own mind), that they'll be standing on the Draft podium one day. So why not grab the loot now. Would also bet that they piss it away before they're 22, but that's another story.

WR Chris Henry Jr. (Official Thread)

Well, it was until Oregon backed up a Brinks truck to his house. Daktorian's e-mail also might have helped. And Oregon will win it's share of games, to be sure, just on their paid talent alone. gotta trust the coach's intuition. J. Smith could be the apex of tOSU's NIL payout amount, but there's always next year. PS, it's been said, might be easier to go into the portal and find a third year player, who's already proven, rather than a pimply 18 year old....No slight intended....

WR Jerquaden Guilford (Official Thread)

Birm referred to Guilford as a more raw version of Carnell Tate. Sign me up

24/7 Scouting report:
Well-rounded outside receiver who can create separation at all three levels of the defense and stretch the field vertically. Verified around 6-foot-2.5, 190 pounds ahead of his senior season with a broad frame and a fantastic combine testing profile. Earned top performer honors after a stellar showing at the 2025 Under Armour Ohio regional camp and has been a consistent playmaker on the club 7-on-7 scene. Meager production as a sophomore and junior compared to some of the top wide receivers in the 2026 cycle, underlined by an 11.4% catch-to-touchdown conversion rate. As a junior had to put on the cape quite often for a Northrop squad that finished 1-9 on the season. Possesses the physical tools and position-specific skill to potentially see a massive leap in production as a senior. Should be viewed as a traits-heavy outside receiver with the ability to contort his body and make acrobatic snags at the catch point. Has multi-year Power Four starter upside and the physical clay to one day merit NFL Draft consideration.

Just sayin': I have no idea what the competition was like in his Senior highlights; however, it does appear that he has a pretty high "WR ceiling" in college. Nice ability on acrobatic catches and breaking/avoiding tackles; in addition, he appears to have a quick burst of speed after the catch.

Lane Kiffin (HC LSU)

LSU must be really hard up to defend and cheer this guy on.

have you paid any attention to our last 3 coaches?

Les Miles - Miles engaged in inappropriate conduct, including texting female students, inviting them to his condo alone, commenting on their physical appearance (allegedly wanting "blondes with the big boobs" as student workers), and on at least one occasion, kissing a student and suggesting they go to a hotel.

Ed O - helped cover up rape allegations against Derrius Guice, spent his last 2 years chasing poon (including bring GF's kids to practice) instead of coaching

Brian Kelly - well, he's Brian fucking Kelly

so at absolute worst, Joey Freshwater is par for the course.

RB Legend Bey (Official Thread)

lets be honest.... we dont know if ole Bag'O Cash was involved back then... but we know likely for top guys it probably was ...

Just sayin': We know it happened back in the 60s & 70s at UCLA with their basketball team. Some UCLA booster named Sam Gilbert was funneling money to recruits to came to UCLA. You have to believe that stuff like that went on in football programs back then (and subsequent years) too.

The thing they may be able to do is create pressure up the middle. That would be the single biggest thing, to me, to watch for from any opponent here on out. Can they get interior pressure and play 2 deep behind it...consistently?

If so, the our offense will have issues because now we are playing behind the sticks, into known/compressed passing windows because the RPO game is taken away and our deep crossers and seam throws are gone.

That said, IU's offense still has to deal with the OSU defense and it's bad match up for them for the reasons I stated earlier.

Take away chaos on special teams (just uneventful ST with good field position will do), avoid turnovers and protect Sayin up the middle and this game will be out of reach for IU mid 3rd quarter if that script is playing out and they are down 2+ scores.
Yep IU's offense is very read option based which has issues and can break down against good D's

Lmao. A must watch.

Penn State AD Kraft recorded during Player's Meeting. There's some great quotes in there.

Player tells Kraft the reason why they can't get top recruits is because "There's nothing to do here".

Kraft called Oregon "frauds" and "a bunch of weirdos" lmaooo. "They have Phil and Nike" and "they won't win a national championship."

"Ohio State is Ohio State, but it's not like they're light-years better than us, we just have to get over the fucking hump."

"Texas pays 65 guys, they pay Arch $5 million."

"Georgia and Oregon, if you're late for class, $10k fine. That's how they get their money back."

"There's no way a 90 year old QB from Iowa should run for 180 yards on us."

"Michigan stinks. They cheated their balls off, it's true."

Hahahahahaha

They are also the best defense we face do the first part of the game might be ugly till we get our sea legs under us. But as Jax said teams for years have been playing us take away explosives and drive the field. This team is perfectly willing to do that unlike some prior teams
