The softness of this team, and pretty much every Ohio State men’s or women’s basketball team for at least a decade is nauseating. Just staying in front of guys without fouling, not settling for threes from our lesser shooters, taking the ball to the rack to draw fouls, and boxing out, would be worth another 5 wins a year.

Our guys just don’t seem to learn the finer points of the game. Just a shame what happened to a once dominant Buckeye Basketball program. Thanks, Gene.
Well obviously this game is over, but they need to let Tilly rest and get right. OSU is not going to win tough games down the stretch without any offense from the post position.
OSU's big man platoon of Tilly and Njegovan are 0-10 from the field (all good chances) while Wisconsin is up by 10. If there's one position that's costing OSU this game, it's the post position.
Thats just an example of what happens every game honestly. Not just Tilly. They all do shit like this. Knock rebounds away from each other that roll right to an opponent for an open 3. It's maddening
Happens too often with this team. Teams shoot like crap the game before, only to shoot like this. MSU sucked vs Michigan but will shoot 65% when we play them. If a team in the top half of this conference loses a game before they play us, I always count in a loss. Just how it’s been for what seems like forever
Yeah, defense is not a strength for this program, and it hasn't been for a while. I think part of the problem is they target offensive skillset in recruiting and just think they will be able to coach them up on D. The reality is you should prioritize getting guys who have elite quickness and strength just as much as their offensive kit. I think OSU's coaches have this kind of "pro mentality" where they want to to build teams with NBA-style offenses, but it doesn't really work at OSU because you aren't at the program where you're going to have a bunch of future NBA players and need guys who can guard to win.
Mobley, Chatman, and Thornton are the only 3 that should be allowed to shoot behind the arc. This team takes some many I’ll-advised shots, it’s sickening!
