I looked at game reports from last season, and they show that Egbuka and Downs were both on for some punt return plays against Nebraska. They weren’t both listed as punt returners for any other game.

But the participation reports are unreliable, so I watched the replay of that Nebraska game, just skipping through to the Nebby punts. Gus Johnson called the returner Egbuka at least twice, but it was actually Downs on each punt I saw. I couldn’t always make out the name on the jersey, but fortunately Egbuka was wearing white socks/tape on his calfs and Downs wasn’t. So it doesn’t look like they got away with anything last season, despite what some player participation info (and a play-by-play guy) states.

It's been a real bad year in the TV ratings landscape for the B1G, the SEC has cleaned up meanwhile the B1G has lacked pretty much any worthy big time matchups in conference play. Id say they are probably desperate this year to eek a 4th team in and they'd absolutely screw Ohio State to accomplish it since Ohio State is in regardless.

Though scUM going to Indy and losing (likely) probably puts them out of the playoff anyway.

Rodgers would be a star at most schools. Hoping he gets his big break next year

I happen to know the OL coach for UCLA. Andy Kwon. He's married to the daughter of good friends of ours. Tessa and Andy met at Alabama when they were both on staff. This was Andy's big break. I hope he lands in a good situation. Tessa just gave birth to their second child and first boy.
UCLA has zero chance in this game, so I hope for continued progress ahead of The Game and no injuries.

I think Ohio State opposes the private equity deal too. tcun just seems to be taking the public lead in the opposition. Not surprising since Slapshot lacks a spine.
