Miami (FL) Hurricanes (1926-2003)

Honest question. Who else called game losing int when Miami started the last drive?
Me to the board sometime during the 3rd quarter or at the start of the 4th
I'm tempted to test fate again ... and lay out my prediction from the Bears Rams game.... in this one... I think everyone knows what it is

Property tax increases

Anyone else get a drastic increase in their triennial tax assessment?

Boy, I sure did! :smash::smash:
I’m guessing you don’t live in Texas where it’s every year and there is a cottage industry for protesting them.

Yes there is no state income tax here but they get their pounds of flesh through property tax.

2025 College Football Playoffs Discussion (12 Team Format)

Don’t understand the Fernando hate. He’s got a 6 year old in a candy store personality.
Me neither.
He’s the biggest dweeb. I say this kindly but probably a touch of the ‘tism too. Just a pure goofball.
Yeah, but you probably could have said the same thing about Peyton and Eli Manning at this stage in their careers; and they ended up with 4 Super Bowl rings between them.

I see 0 percent chance of his success in the NFL. But he’ll go down as a legend in college football.
I disagree. I guess it could depend on your definition of successful; however, I think he has a very good chance of being successful in the NFL. IMO. He has demonstrated the following traits/abilities:
1. Good team player, doesn't seem to have an over inflated opinion of himself, and seems to be very coachable.
2. At this stage in this development he seems to read the defenses well.
3. Accurate passer on all his throws.
4. Performs extremely well under pressure and on the "big stage".
5. Can take licking (hard hits) and keeps on ticking.
6. Has proven to be a "winner".
The only negative might be that he has only had 1 season as a top tier performing college QB.
Anyway, (with the exception of Baker Mayfield) he almost has a 99 44/100% chance of being more successful in the NFL than the last dozen or so QBs the Browns drafted.....

2026 Polls

the Buckeyes Rank No. 1 in On3’s Way-Too-Early 2026 Top 25 Poll

THEY ARE NO. 1! On3 college football writers Chris Low, Brett McMurphy, Pete Nakos, JD PicKell, Andy Staples and Ari Wasserman created a consensus top 25 poll for next season, and the World Famous Ohio State Buckeyes landed at No. 1.

Four schools received first-place votes, and 39 teams received votes overall. Only the top 14 teams appeared on every ballot.

“Ohio State was the top choice of Chris Low, JD PicKell and Andy Staples,” McMurphy wrote. “Georgia received Pete Nakos’ No. 1 ranking, while Ari Wasserman picked Texas and Brett McMurphy chose Notre Dame as their top teams.”

Here’s what Low wrote about the Buckeyes as his top team:

Having the top pass-catch combo in college football is always a good place to start. Julian Sayin returns at quarterback and Jeremiah Smith at receiver. They hooked up for 12 touchdowns in 2025. Running back Bo Jackson, after rushing for 1,090 yards and earning true freshman All-America honors, is also returning, along with the left side of the offensive line and center Carson Hinzman. The Buckeyes lost a ton on defense, so bringing back defensive end Kenyatta Jackson after his breakout 2025 season was a big win for Ryan Day. The Buckeyes are hopeful Alabama transfer Qua Russaw can add some pass-rushing punch.

For the past three years, I’ve made a habit of spending the day after the national championship game collecting way-too-early polls from outlets like ESPN, The Athletic and USA TODAY. I’ll do that again this year, so be on the lookout for it later this morning once all the polls roll in.
