Because of a horrible rushing attack and defense.and that 2018 team wasn't a NC contender either.
2018 would be an example of an elite Day passing attack with a good, but not great WR group.
Hopefully, we land somewhere between that group and what we’ve had the past 5 years.
If we can land Henry and keep Jamier Brown, we’ll be set up for the next few years.
We won’t stack talent like Hartline did but, with the right hire, we should still have an elite passing attack.
I came down with something Sunday, fever Monday, and it's back with a vengeance
2018 would be an example of an elite Day passing attack with a good, but not great WR group.Sorry, the elite WR play has carried over into the NFL far more than the elite QB play has.
Day's offense has been lethal since he took over when he's had his Olave, MHJr, J Smith beast out there. It's a symbiotic relationship, neither can do it without the other but let's not act like this wouldn't be a major blow.
No it won't break what Day is doing but no one is going to transfer in and just make you forget the talent this kid has. I'm sure you could go back to JJ's thread and find similar bravado when the idea he might flip came up. Yeah, we would have gotten another WR but we wouldn't have had J Smith.
From everything I have read, this kid is in that kind of talent stratosphere.
The problem is people like to say the results on the field matter. Why play the game if you don't reward the winner of the game with the belief that they were the better team? When losses happen definitely matters IMO. And that's exactly why Miami is behind ND. You can't lose to unranked teams later in the season and expect not to get dinged for it. I'm not on the "good loss" bs train but BAD losses definitely should have a big effect. Louisville and SMU are very very mediocre football teams.
I don't think ND or Miami win more than the opening round game if even that if they get in so in the grand scheme this argument probably doesn't matter much.
Can someone explain to me like I'm five why folks are wanting Hartline to do this next Monday, and thinking that would change everything?
Can't Chris just portal or ask out anyway?
I realize it's distracting, but so would any time be. Like when Nick open the doors for Caleb and Julian.
That rule is gone we can have 15 mmillion assisitants to general manager if we want
