New York Mets (2x World Series Champions)

Wow that’s awful.

I was in DR about 10 years ago and went to a club. It was crazy packed in there and would’ve definitely been fire marshalled in the U.S. because there were way too many people in it.

Sad to hear that happened but honestly surprised we don’t hear it happen more often given how things are down there/

OSU Men's Basketball Recruiting/Projections/General Discussions

Just remembering how Tanner Holden averaged 20 ppg at Wright State, people thought he was going to be big-time for OSU. He averaged less than 4 ppg in 1 year, and then transferred to go back to Wright State. It's very easy to overestimate how much production you are going to get from guys through the portal - obviously it's tough because you've got to keep the guys you have coming back and get them enough NIL, then have enough to build around them through the portal, and clearly some teams are paying premiums to get some of these guys to transfer.

14 and 8 would be humongous stats for the Bucks. Probably closer to half that but if he can be consistent that would be a good addition
He had a huge season this year for Wright St - actually averaged 19 ppg. He only had 3 games where he didn't score double-digits, and 2 were against Oakland. He has more of a skill-oriented, below-the-rim game. Wright St is low-major, so I'd take the stats with a huge grain of salt. Looking at his game logs, he must struggle against length and shouldn't be expected to do much against certain teams. We will need him to come in and be a backup at PF and fill in at the 5 as needed, and just keep us from falling behind when he's in the game.

Ohio State Buckeyes Land Intriguing Transfer Commitment from Sleeper Forward

Wright State transfer Brandon Noel will transfer to Ohio State.

The Ohio State Buckeyes have landed an extremely productive forward in the transfer portal.

Noel is a product of Chillicothe High School in Lucasville, OH. As a member of the Class of 2020, he was unranked coming out of high school and opted to stay home and attend Wright State. Now, he will go from Dayton (i.e. Wright State) to Columbus after three productive years for the Raiders.

Noel appeared in 97 games, making 90 starts, over three years. As a junior, the 6-foot-8 forward averaged a career-high 19 points and 7.7 rebounds. He shot 55.2% from the field, including 35.8% from three-point range. Noel is not a big threat from deep, averaging just 2.4 attempts over the course of his career, but it is a weapon in his arsenal.

As a freshman, Noel averaged 13 points and 8.7 rebounds in a year where he started 26 of 33 games. Noel would go onto start 64 games over the next two years. He put up 14.5 points and 8 rebounds per game as a sophomore. This was a major addition for a Buckeye team that needs to add talent this offseason.

Just sayin': The 2025/2026 will be his 6th year in college. You have to wonder if he:

1) still has NBA (or at least) professional basketball dreams.
2) is still working on his degree.
3) just wants to play 1 more year and see if he can make it in Div I basketball
4) knows he can get more in NIL money for a year than he would be able to get on any other job.

Re: In 2025-26, NCAA Division I men's and women's basketball teams will have a roster limit of 15 players, regardless of scholarship status, as part of a broader settlement agreement addressing college athletics.

With the addition of Noel that makes 14, Ohio State could still add 1 more.
That is true; however, we have not heard that literally every returning player is, in fact, returning. It also remains to be seen if, in this new era, OSU is going to accept allowing walk-ons take spots that they could devote to scholarship players. Noel was not the type of player I was expecting OSU to add necessarily - to me, he's kind of like a Gabe Cupps, in the sense that he's a guy they are adding for depth who will keep the team in the game when they have to go to the bench. I still feel like this team is lacking top-tier strength and power in the post, and I'm not sure if they are going to get it.
