Offense has room to get even better and the defense can only get better as the season progresses. Sorry to everyone that not every game every season is like a Globetrotters exhibition game.
The talent we have had…..and has now left…..in Columbus should have won us more than 1 national championship. But at least we did win 1. Day is going to have to step up the tempo on O and just try to outscore the opposition in shootouts. This D is above average but that’s about it.
it would be one thing if it felt like the d was being beat by exceptional plays but they are being torched by simple execution. Even on that 4th down play, the guy was open and should have caught it.

I think one of the problems is that our offense practices against our defense. Our offense plays NFL style with almost no creativity. Our defense plays an NFL style with negative creativity. They are completely unprepared to play college ball.
Offense is going to have to just go nuclear this season. I know this QB is among the best accuracy wise but this has been pretty eye opening.
Lots of questions that I’m not sure we have answers for. DTs getting pushed out of their lanes by 3rd string kids, DEs can’t set the edge, linebackers have just been nonexistent, and the secondary is getting rubbed off routes
