That would be HUGE. The 2028 OL class has the makings of a very good-great one if we have some dominoes like this fall our way.
KJHillEnthusiast:New Wiltfong article on DJ Jacobs:
Tennessee pushing harder than Miami now at trying to flip. Jacob’s father said it’s nothing serious.
Says his son is strongly tracking to sign with Ohio State.
They will make gameday visits around the country for Dawson but also plan to be at a couple Ohio State games this season as well.
To further what 305 said, on3 put out an article essentially baiting drama saying “Tennessee is pushing for a flip” trying to make it seem like it’s a high possibility. When in reality they’re just in his ear. His own father says he’s more than likely signing with us. I really wish people weren’t so delusional and already writing him as a VOL
There are times when Penn State fans would be happy if they joined the ACC.I think Corn would willingly go, and their fans would be thrilled, thinking that they'd dominate the B12. Can't see anyone else going without a fight though.
trade deadline is Thursday!
Imo, the Buckeyes can win an NC if they can shore up the OL(that is key, and my most important point), find a competent kicker(self explanatory), and call plays to win the many mismatches that OSU will have all year(i.e. JJ vs everybody, Inniss in space and even in some tight spaces, TEs against undersized DBs, etc). This team isnt far off from hoisting the trophy and they weren't last year either.
I'd add as honorable mention: getting the transfer and young DBs ready for real game speed. But Patricia has shown to be a great teacher and OGWalt and Matty G have been some of the best position coaches in the country and they have a lot of talent to work with. And can LJsr find another solid DE to play opposite Jackson

Just sayin':I think Corn would willingly go, and their fans would be thrilled, thinking that they'd dominate the B12. Can't see anyone else going without a fight though.
and TTUN...Just sayin': There needs to be an asterisk.
Indiana's Curt Cignetti w/shots fired at SEC: "We don't run a hype machine up here in the Midwest. We believe everything is earned, not given. When we fall short, we say we fall short. When we don't win, we don't cry a river. We don't whine & complain.* That's why we're the best."
* except (of course) for Penn State.

I think Corn would willingly go, and their fans would be thrilled, thinking that they'd dominate the B12. Can't see anyone else going without a fight though.Just sayin': Yeah, you gave a good case why that would be so difficult that it probably will never happen. The B1G and SEC would never agree to give up their TV contract advantage over the BIG XII and ACC. If you tried to trim the B1G to 16 teams; you couldn't get 2 teams to volunteer to go to another conference like the BIG XII or ACC that gives out lesser TV money. These schools would sue the conferences and/or the NCAA. In addition, fans and alumni wouldn't be happy as many "traditional rivaries" would be lost.
Just sayin': The conference championship games bring in a lot of TV money, and it is nice to have a definitive conference champion. Notre Dame shouldn't get a pass; maybe there should be a CFP Committee policy when ranking teams 1) give bonus consideration to any team for a conference championship game win and 2) not count a conference championship game loss against any team. Why should the Big Ten and the SEC force an extra game on their two best teams, and why should Notre Dame get a pass?
