I was expecting Miami to at least win 1 MAC tourney game. Now I definitely worry they will get left out for some trash like Auburn & Texas because they couldn't manage to do that

Lost to 17-15 UMASS in the MAC quarterfinals. Woof.

Mobley isn't on yet, but everyone else seems to be. Bruce had some good drives to the basket. Bynum's 2nd half vs IU wasn't what his 1st half was. Let's see if he can keep it going today. He's tough to deal with.

Iowa came out sharper from having just played. Ohio State shook off the bad start and totally dominated the paint. Bynum really got to them with his dunks, and Tilly makes it a nice 1-2 punch inside. Royal could get in on that inside action if he starts playing like himself.

I love that we have a composed floor general in Thornton. He should keep things steady for us in the 2nd half. And Mobley hopefully gets going, because he has been playing great as of late coming in to this game.

It was a rare treat to see the ideal 2-for-1 by the Buckeyes to end the half.

Got a dunk with a little over 40 seconds left, and got a bucket from Bruce with about 4 seconds left.

If they could hit some 3s they could pull away.

I'm exceedingly happy with this. I said the day Slapshot flew away that internally hiring a pure academic was the best we could hope for. I had some dark thoughts about how a protracted external search might play out with our current board, Wexner and possibly the legislature getting involved. I'm happy and hope as someone noted above that he can manage the politics currently involved and focus on putting the university back on the track it was on before Slapshot. Since the board obviously quickly moved on that, perhaps they deserve more credit than I've been willing to give them.

Things I'd like to see are lowering the size of the freshman class to under 8K and building a fucking hockey rink for the women. And put Gee out to fucking pasture at long last or at the very least severely limit his role to nothing more than being your Wexner whisperer.

So glad OSU has a halftime lead.

Considering we were like 1/8 from 3 and had a good number of turnovers going into the half with a 4 point lead is quite impressive.
