Won’t someone just throw Charlie Brown the damn ball already?

Good grief! Any day that’s not an Ohio State game day can feel like a drag, but fortunately, our friends at FOCO have come up with a great solution, this Ohio State Buckeyes Peanuts Gang Football Field Mini Bobblehead Scene!

Woody, C.J., Marv, and Archie have nothing on Charlie Brown, Peppermint Patty, Marcie, Snoopy, and Woodstock as they play a game in scarlet and gray on a base adorned with an Ohio State logo. This limited edition, individually painted, 5-inch bobblehead scene is a must-have for OSU fans who also like a little bit of whimsy in their Buckeye shrines. But won’t someone just let Charlie Brown play? I feel bad for the little dude.

FOCO has only made 150 of these bobbles, so if you want to make sure that you get yours, you need to jump on this offer now. Click the link below and order yours for $200 now. There’s plenty of time to get it done before the game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. ET!

Get the Buckeye-Themed Peanuts Bobblehead Scene NOW!

As my office can confirm, FOCO is the absolute best when it comes to Ohio State bobbleheads! This fall, they’ve released a few must-have items. One multi-bobblehead figure looks back at the history of Ohio State football jerseys, and the other is an Archie Griffin bobblehead celebrating the 50th anniversary of his first Heisman Trophy. Today’s release isn’t the only Peanuts-related OSU bobblehead available, earlier this season, FOCO released a Buckeye version of the classic Lucy and Charlie Brown football scene. As the season started, they also released this awesome double-Brutus bobblehead, not to mention some of the coolest and most unique Ohio State gear imaginable.

Then, last season, they dropped a very cool Brutus bobblehead with a hidden version of The Horseshoe. In the fall they released 15 different sport-specific Brutus bobbleheads and introduced Snoopy and Charlie Brown Buckeye bobblehead. Just about a year ago, FOCO unveiled a Brutus training camp bobblehead, and for Memorial Day, the company released an “I Want You” Uncle Sam-inspired Brutus bobblehead.

In addition, to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Ohio Stadium, FOCO released a pair of must-have bobbleheads; one featuring Brutus, while the other shows Woody Hayes strutting above The Horseshoe.

As someone with a borderline unhealthy Ohio State bobblehead/collectible addiction, I can think of no better way to celebrate the final unofficial season before college football than with one (or all) of these magnificent merchandising masterpieces.

And, if you actually care about teams other than Ohio State, FOCO has stuff for other teams that you might be interested in as well, but who likes teams other than the Buckeyes?

If, for some reason, you think you might need some sort of memorabilia from another school, I guess you can find those things here.

No. 23 Indiana Football is the first FBS team to earn bowl-eligibility following their 6-0 record win.

Just sayin': So far they haven't had that difficult a schedule. Somebody ranked the level of difficulty of their opponents (below) and overall the first 6 teams should definitely be the easiest of the 2 halves. In addition, Ohio State is the only really good team they play all season.

Iowa v Ohio State

This young man is the Buckeye version of a Human Highlight Reel

Iowa v Ohio State

Every game of college football is different, that’s why we love this ridiculous, flawed, chaotic sport. A team can go from winning an all-time classic following heart-stopping back-to-back 75-yard plays to trailing Vanderbilt at the half in consecutive weeks.

The unpredictability seems especially true this season when it comes to this Ohio State team as they can seemingly win games in any multitude of ways. We’ve seen games in which Quinshon Judkins had a legitimate argument as the best offensive player, TreVeyon Henderson, Emeka Egbuka, and Will Howard as well. We’ve also seen the defense shut teams down to the point where that unit was even more important than the offense.

However, when it comes to picking the most important, impactful, and memorable plays of the game for this weekly column, why do I routinely find myself coming back to a single Buckeye? Why have I ended up writing about plays from this one particular player in three of Ohio State’s five games?

Well, I guess it is just another example of why Jeremiah Smith is the best wide receiver in Ohio State history. Against Akron in Week 1, it was his first career touchdown. Last week it was his back-to-back one-handed catches that put some distance between the Buckeyes and Michigan State Spartans. This week it is yet another one-handed snag for a touchdown as J.J. has proven that he is capable of creating an eye-popping highlight at any moment.

His latest unbelievable highlight was a pivotal play in getting the Buckeyes to 5-0 thanks to a 35-7 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes.

However, this catch is the moment of the game not just because of the otherworldly skill and concentration that the true freshman displays, but because of how the game swung on that touchdown.

At the time, Ohio State was up just 7-0 with 9:39 left in the third quarter. The first half was marred by three Buckeye turnovers; one via fumble, one via interception, and one on downs. However just over five minutes into the quarter, it went from being a close game between two Big Ten heavyweights to being an unmitigated blowout and Smith’s touchdown was the fulcrum.

On first and goal, quarterback Will Howard threw a jump-ball fade to the southwest corner of the end zone where he had Smith one-on-one with Iowa defensive back Deshaun Lee. We have heard it discussed since the summer that if Jeremiah Smith is in single coverage, he is wide open. As the ball was in the air, Lee clearly had ahold of the wide receiver’s jersey, but Smith used his left hand to push the smaller DB away from home while securing the ball with his right hand for his sixth touchdown of the season.

With the score now 14-0 in favor of the Scarlet and Gray, the Buckeye offense and defense put the pedal to the metal the rest of the way with Will Howard adding a rushing touchdown and throwing two more to Emeka Egbuka (who had the TD that put OSU up 7-0) before giving way to Devin Brown and the second-team offense.

The snowball had already started rolling downhill as the Buckeyes took the ball coming out of halftime and took it 86 yards on nine plays capped by Smith’s one-handed catch, but the play seemed to serve as a reminder of just how explosive this team can be. Just watching on the TV, it felt like it rejuvenated the team’s (and fan’s) excitement.

With a team as loaded as these Buckeyes, it only takes one person, one play to start an avalanche of scoring, and that’s what happened today. Over the first four drives of the second half, the Buckeyes scored four touchdowns in just over 14 minutes of possession. They went from being in a sloppy dogfight with a tough-nosed Hawkeye squad to blowing out a really good team that still has a chance to make the 12-team College Football Playoff.

So, again, Jeremiah Smith was responsible for the moment of the game, but it led to a nearly perfect entire second-half performance. Now, bring on the Ducks!

You’ve got a number of free trials you can choose from of various lengths and breadths.

With all due respect to the Michigan State Spartans, Ohio State’s season begins in earnest today as the Buckeyes welcome the Iowa Hawkeyes to The Horseshoe. The game should be the first legitimate test for the new Chip Kelly-led offense as, regardless of the metric, Iowa’s defense is among the best in the country. Hawkeye running back Kaleb Johnson is also likely to give the OSU defense a test as well. So, you obviously won’t want to miss a single second of this game.

This season, the Buckeyes will play on three different broadcast networks (CBS, Fox, and NBC), at least one cable channel (Big Ten Network), and exclusively on a streaming service (Peacock); it can be tough to keep up with where and how to watch your favorite team.

As cord-cutting has become far more the norm than the exception across the United States, it would not be a surprise if you gave up cable or a live-streaming service following last year’s season only to realize that it’s the day of the game and you have no way to watch it.

And I know it can be incredibly confusing to find the best way to watch a game in today’s entertainment landscape. Fortunately for you, I am something of a streaming expert... no really, I write about streaming services for a living. So, I am going to walk you through the best — and cheapest — ways for you to stream today’s game.

How can I watch the No. 3 Ohio State vs. Iowa college football game?

Game Date/Time: Saturday, Oct. 5 at 3:30 p.m. ET
TV: CBS
Broadcasters: Brad Nessler, Gary Danielson, Jenny Dell
Betting Line: Ohio State -18.5 | 45.5 o/u

Best Streaming Option to Watch Ohio State vs. Iowa:
Paramount+ | 30-Day Free Trial

Paramount+ has two streaming packages, the ad-supported Essentials tier and the ad-free Paramount+ with Showtime. Since both come with a 30-day free trial, if you want to watch today’s game against the Zips and all of the other football on CBS for the month of September, opt for the Paramount+ with Showtime plan. This will give you access to everything on your local CBS affiliate, plus tons of streaming exclusives, not to mention all of the original and library content from across the Paramount universe.

After your free trial expires, the ad-supported Paramount+ plan costs $7.99 per month, while the ad-free Paramount+ With Showtime option runs $12.99 monthly.

Best Streaming Option for All College Football Games:
Hulu + Live TV | 3-Day Free Trial

If just watching the games on CBS isn’t enough to keep your football appetite at bay, then Hulu + Live TV is your best option. The live TV streaming service has one of the few guaranteed multi-day free trials in the industry and provides nearly all of the major cable channels on the market.

The basic package comes with all of the major broadcast network channels — all of which have college football — ABC, CBS, Fox, and NBC. It also has ESPN, ESPN2, Big Ten Network, FS1, FS2, ESPNU, CBS Sports Network, SEC Network, ACC Network, and the NFL Network (yes, they have college games) without having to sign up for any sports add-on plans. However, if you do want more sports, you can add NFL RedZone, MLB StrikeZone, FanDuel TV, the Tennis Channel, and more.

What’s great about Hulu + Live TV is that in addition to all of the broadcast and cable channels that you could possibly want, it also comes with the Disney Bundle for free. So, you also get the full on-demand Hulu library, Disney+, and ESPN+, which also has hundreds of college football games every season.

Currently, a subscription to Hulu + Live TV costs $76.99 per month after your three-day free trial. However, that will go up to $82.99 in mid-October. But between now and then, this is the best choice for watching college football

Other Streaming Options for the Ohio State and Iowa Game:

Fubo: $84.99 per month, at least a one-day free trial
DIRECTV STREAM: $79.99 per month
YouTube TV: $72.99 per month
