Seems some coach has some quality recruiting chops.Chalk one up in the bonafides column
We've had a WR taken in the early second round the last two drafts:But how many first rounders?
We've had a WR taken in the early second round the last two drafts:
2016: 6th WR drafted (Michael Thomas)
2015: 7th WR drafted (Devin Smith)
The rest of us care about winning games...Oh, I know. But a certain someone only cares about first rounders.
If you look at who's playing WR now most are not true WR. They all played other positions in HS. Zack maybe a stud recruiter or great at polishing up already decent receivers but developing guys from scratch or from other positions seems to be a struggleHe needs to step up his coaching big time IMO. There is not enough talk about him and the WRs have not produced like they should the season. Is it coaching or talent
and that should be his job… developing guys who had not played position. I think most guys can catch a football if it is thrown to them and I think most of these guys are quirky enough to play the position.. I know there are other things involved but he is responsible for developing those aspects of the game for the WRs.If you look at who's playing WR now most are not true WR. Michael Thomas was a semi polished WR when he arrived at OSU ( newphew of MeShawn). It's not like he was some unknown RB that Smith modeled into a stud WR.I don't think we should get rid of him yet.
Michael Thomas is as polished a rookie reciever as I've ever seen. Zach should get credit for that.
