WWE Rumors: Sting Expected To Face Undertaker At WrestleMania 31

According to a report from PWMania, tonight will be the beginning of the setup of a Sting vs Undertaker feud, that will culminate on the biggest stage possible, at WrestleMania 31.

Sting will not be wrestling tonight. The unveiling is planned as the start of a new storyline for Sting that will see him wrestle for the first time ever in a WWE ring. The belief is that match will be at WrestleMania 31 against The Undertaker.
In news related to this, it seems as if Undertaker feels that he can go for one more Mania match, despite his loss to Brock Lesnar at this past year’s event and the health issues he faced during and after the bout.

So, now we know what direction they are headed in with the Sting character.

I'd bet he'll have a match with HHH before he has one with Taker.

STINGER!!
Kind of a weird time for him to show up. I mean, don't get me wrong, I understand the moment of him appearing in a WWE ring, but it reminded me more of Bret Hart debuting as a referee in WCW.

That said, they have set up and teased the greatest heel turn of all time by having John Cena be the only man that can reinstate Steph and HHH...they could pull that shit at WM when Daniel Bryan is back, a la Steve Austin back in the day...but they won't. They don't have the balls to do anything outside the box now that WCW is gone.

WWE chairman Vince McMahon apologizes to CM Punk

World Wrestling Entertainment chairman and CEO Vince McMahon apologized Monday night to former wrestler CM Punk for firing him on his wedding day.

“I would like to apologize,” McMahon said on a special episode of the Steve Austin Show on the WWE Network. “Sometimes in a big corporation, the legal people don’t necessarily know what talent relations are doing and conversely and Punk got his severance papers on the day he got married. And that was a coincidence. So, I want to personally apologize for that.”

It was the first time McMahon spoke publicly following CM Punk's now infamous podcast interview last week where he torched the WWE for how he was treated during his time with the company. Considering CM Punk’s wife, AJ Lee, is still on the active roster, McMahon’s apology about the wedding snafu makes sense.

And yet, despite all of the damming comments and accusations, McMahon would still like to work with CM Punk one day.

“Other than that, the only thing I want to say about Punk is there have been a number of individuals in the past that have been disgruntled, said a lot of things about the organization and I’m not going to wash the dirty laundry in public. I don’t think there’s any reason for that. I think there are a lot of things he may say that he may regret one day in terms of looking back at it. But nonetheless, I hope that one day we will be able to get back together again.”

I don't get the sense that Punk will A) ever need the money, nor B) ever regret saying anything he has ever said about anything. If there is one relationship that I believe is truly over, it is this one, because not many guys can make a clean break from wrestling to do something else, and the few that do (AKA the Rock) still love wrestling. I think Punk is done for good, though of course one can never say never entirely.

What does he do outside of wrestling?

Yeah, I don't get the feeling that Punk will renege on what he said. Obviously Vince has history on his side here, as everyone from Hogan to Bret Hart have burned bridges at one point or another (Sometimes more than once) and have always ended back with the company. There's very few people I can even think of that have left on a bad note and not made an attempt later to come back (Given the opportunity). I could see Punk bucking the trend and doing his own thing though.

Thing is though, it was HHH who bridged the gap to Sammartino...and he keeps getting more and more power as he takes over more duties. I think Vince is crazy enough with enough guile to get him to come back for something...but by the time he would be ready to do so, HHH will have taken over, and he will make it a point to mend every single bridge to everyone but him. I think you'll see Skinner and Bastion Booger in the HOF before you see Punk.

CM Punk signs multi-fight deal with UFC

Phil “CM Punk” Brooks has signed a multi-fight deal with Ultimate Fighting Championship and will make his Octagon debut in 2015, the promotion announced Saturday night.

The UFC teased a big announcement following the first match of the UFC 181 pay-per-view portion and delivered. Joe Rogan interviewed Brooks cageside at the Mandalay Bay Events Center. Brooks, 36, wasn’t sure of a weight class yet, but said both middleweight and welterweight were options.

“I have a background in kempo and I’ve been doing Brazilian jiu-jitsu for a long time," Brooks told Rogan. "This is my new career, 100-percent. I'm going to go full steam ahead, all systems go after today, and it's going to be fun. I have nothing but respect for everybody here at the UFC, everybody who steps in the Octagon to fight. And when it's all said and done, when I'm finished, everybody's going to have to respect me because I have come here to fight."

The former WWE champion has made headlines last week for a series of podcast interviews where he ripped Vince McMahon’s company for how he was treated during his eight years as a performer. The WWE fired Brooks earlier this year and he has now stated on multiple occasions that he has no intentions of ever returning.

That opens the door for mixed martial arts, a sport that Brooks has followed closely while competing in the WWE. He’s no stranger to UFC pay-per-views and has made several “Gracie Breakdown” cameos alongside friend and Gracie Jiu-Jitsu instructor Rener Gracie.

“I felt like it was now or never," Brooks added. "I have a limited window most fighters don't have. I'm either here to win or get my ass kicked.

Contd..
