I saw that earlier. He'll get destroyed. Not because I don't think he would be a good fighter, but he's well past his prime and he has quite a few miles on him physically.

Dude's 36 and has an injury list longer than most novellas. He might win a few prelim fights, but I imagine that's about as far as he'll go, because by the time he would ever be a contender for a title, he would be 40+.I saw that earlier. He'll get destroyed. He had a title shot in about a year, but a) that was a while ago, when UFC wasn't as deep, b) he was a heavyweight, and c) he was a fucking beast in his prime. They will definitely try to capitalize on his name, but if they want to do that for more than a fight or two, they had better make sure he doesn't get Kimbo Sliced.Did they fast track Lesnar at all when he went to UFC? Maybe they'll try and capitalize on his name.
He's trained with the Gracies I think, so that should count for something. If Kimbo Slice and Tank Abbott got a license after street brawls, certainly Punk should be able to.http://www.wrestlezone.com/news/533851-possible-hurdle-cm-punk-ufc-fight
A Big Hurdle Might Stand in the Way of CM Punk’s First UFC Fight
FOX Sports has published an article claiming a big hurdle could stand in the way of CM Punk’s first UFC fight, as the former WWE Champion might have a difficult time getting licensed.
According to the report, top officials from the New Jersey and Nevada state athletic commissions have concerns licensing someone with no fighting experience.
“We would really have to look at this very closely,” New Jersey athletic commission head Larry Hazzard said. “We would have to take a close look at it. Normally, we require some type of background as either an amateur or a professional. This would certainly raise a red flag.”
Nevada Athletic Commission executive director Bob Bennett said that Punk getting licensed would be at the hands of the commissioners, and suggested that Punk first get some experience as an amateur.
“I would say that it would behoove him to get some amateur fights,” Bennett said. “Get some amateur fights and get some experience.”
Not to mention more or less single-handedly killing Elite.Kimbo. That guy was a UFC train wreck
That might have been the worst booking catastrophe in PPV history...not the worst booking ever mind you, David Arquette didn't with the RR, but the worst catastrophe in terms of what they were going for versus what they got. After last year, you'd think they would have learned their lesson...then they get to this year, where had Batista been #30, come down, eliminated the final 3 (or 4, if you count Rusev ) then he would have gotten a standing ovation just because Reigns didn't win...you know, the guy Vince was banking on everyone cheering wildly . Now he's fucked. Royally. Because if Lesnar retains, it kills the Reigns mystique, and if Lesnar loses, the crowd is never going to accept the fact that a guy with 2 moves beat an assassin like Lesnar. They've been building this for almost 2 years...and now not only does no one want to see it, but no one will accept the result they have been building for. Their only hope is to turn Reigns heel. And even then, it will fall Batista flat. And if Reigns wins, then what? You going to bank your stock price and network subscriptions on a face no one likes holding the title for a year? Fucked, fucked, and more fucked.Once they eliminated Bryan, the crowd was done. It seemed pretty pointless to bring him back before the Rumble if they weren't going to have him win it.
and I'm pretty sure Rusev rolled out of the ring because he got his bell rung and everyone forgot about him. When Reigns eliminated Show/Kane, they rang the bell, and then the crowd started chanting for Rusev........
