Yep, always a good idea to bench a potential playmaker for a year.

Yep, always a good idea to play 4 QB's if all are healthy because that's what championship caliber teams do.

Going from his offensive system to ours is quite a leap; assuming Braxton is healthy, which was a part of my original post, I cannot imagine a single situation in which Torrance would be a greater threat. Maybe we'll see though, time may tell.

I think the main reason is scouts are questioning which position he will play, doubting he will make it as a college QB so there is some hesitation with ranking him a 5*. I say a great athlete is a great athlete regardless of what position he plays and should be ranked accordingly. And I haven't seen too many better pure athletes in this class than Gibson.

When you could be as talented as Dez Bryant (hopefully minus the BS)at WR or as good as Terrell Pryor (against minus the BS lol) as a QB I don't think it should matter

Anyone that watched his announcement have anything to share? Looks like from the pic that he made the "O", was just curious if he said anything meaningful in his speech. Sometimes a recruit will say something that stands out and gives you an insight into their perspective, etc.

Edit: I see from the gif above that he did the Miami hat head fake. Did he say much?

Hes a definite raw prospect, but he has such a big upside. A few years of seasoning and I hope his best position establishes itself. Like already stated, can't have enough playmakers.

Keep in mind we'll have six scholarship QBs on the roster next year (Miller, Barrett, Jones, Collier, Burrow, and Gibson) provided Miller does return for his fifth year...there's not going to be a whole lot of PT to be spread around.

6, with Collier. Although I think there's a good chance Jones doesn't come back, and a decent chance Braxton doesn't come back.
