WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

So, WangWhore, I take it you don't want to bet now...
Well I honestly don't think we punt the ball 6 times. On that basis, I don't think I have any chance of winning your bet. Now why in the world would I make a bet, I honestly, don't think I can win?? You're gonna have to come down on that 6 number.

You should take mili up on that bet. But instead of the $20 you should ask for a box of authentic chocolate covered Hawiian Macedamia nuts. You won't get them 'cause Teddy's going to the house, but on the off chance that he doesn't those macadamia nuts are unreal.

I'll take that BET! $20

Fuck vBets. I have $20 real US cash that says if Ginn fields six punts in the bowl game, he'll take at least one back for a TD.
I'll TAKE that bet! Teddy will NOT take one back is what I'm saying! I just don't see it happening after Chad Owens took one back the other day. See my post on rivals as to which of these two I'd take RIGHT NOW as my punt returner...I've seen both in person after the game on the 24th!

SAN ANTONIO — Oklahoma State is planning to play with fire in the Alamo Bowl.

Ohio State’s Ted Ginn Jr., who set a Big Ten record and tied an NCAA mark with four punt returns for touchdowns this season, will get a chance to add to that total against Oklahoma State.

The Cowboys do not plan to punt away from Ginn.

"We’ve watched him on film, and he’s very, very fast," safety Jamie Thompson said. "But we’ve played against guys like that in the Big 12 the past couple of years.

"If we stay in our lanes, I think we’ll be all right."

Oklahoma State allowed a punt return for a touchdown against Oklahoma on Oct. 30, but otherwise the Cowboys have held opponents to 10.4 yards per return.

"We’ve never backed away from a returner," special teams coach Joe DeForest told The Daily Oklahoman. "Our kids think they can cover it. Our kids would not want us to back down. Our kids will take it as a challenge to go cover."
those poor bastards

"Too bad ya don't have a team full of this guy"

And too bad Okie St doesn't have even one of this guy...

I personally don't thing TG2 will take a punt back, partly because they will punt away from him and partly because punt return TDs are harder than he's made them look this year. But I definitely think OK State will punt more than 5-6 times, since our D is tailor-made for their one-dimensional offense. Unless OK St radically alters their playbook and passes more than 20 times, that offense won't even hit the redzone.

Yeah, you do that. Sure worked for Michigan, Michigan State, Wisconsin.... Just stay in your lanes, all will be fine.

He's not really that fast, anyway. Any kicker with the proper angle can easily stop a TD. :slappy:

so lets recap shall we? we are playing a 1 dimensional running team that is insistant upon punting to teddy... whats next? oosu is going to spot us 14?

wangho, i have to admit. im rather surprised by your insistance than ginn has no chance of running back a punt on your team. as weak as tOSU is on offense even at this point makes it unbelievable that you would be so willing to play to our strength. its interesting to note that you feel your team is so vastly superior on offense, defense, and special teams. if your team was truely so dominant i personally would expect you to be playing in a slightly more important bowl... with a considerably better record. or perhaps you feel that tOSU is of such a poor quality that it doesn't matter...

Perhaps it's our really poor all-time overall record against teams currently in the big 12...we're only something like 29-3-1 against them.
