WR Ted Ginn, Jr. (Official Thread)

I wonder what these guys think?

There's another angle to this. Lloyd Carr was making a living pulling kids north from the Northeast of Ohio. Somebody like Ginn hits greatness and all eyes go South to Columbus. He can't sell this "I own John Cooper" crap anymore.

Ted Ginn for Heisman!

Wasn't it Ginn, Sr. himself that said that Teddy Jr. was actually slow for his size prior to high school and got him into track just to improve his speed?
I believe that this is correct Mili. When he was being recruited last year, the Cleveland PD ran a special article on him after the recruitment and I believe in that article it was reported that his dad thought him to be too slow in jr. high and had him go to a special "speed" coach to improve.

Too true on the end of open season to poach top flight prospects.
He'll get some kids out of Ohio (hell there are at most 25 roster spots each year) but he will find getting the big fish harder and harder in coming years.

...I would support him as a starter at CB if we landa RB like Gwaltney that takes some of the pressure off of Ginn to make plays.

Even if we got Gwaltney and he was all that he's advertised to be, we'd still keep Ginn in on full-time offense because he'd be even more dangerous with Gwaltney taking some of the focus off of Ginn...now that's a scary (for the opposition) thought.
