My thoughts as well. At least let Ballard just run some deep routes to scare the safeties shitless. Keep the starters legs fresh.

I would agree if it’s game 4. Day and Hartline are running with 3. That’s it. Day made it sound like JSN would need a miracle to return. Fleming needs to step up. In reality if MH has to go 15 for 220 do it CJ. Screw balance.

That’s now how Hartline coaches. Like I showed above, he latches onto 3-4 WRs and rides them. I think we could maybe see Johnson in over Ballard on some plays like that, and even then i doubt it.
I’m in full agreement that we should be rotating a few players, and Ballard should be one of them

Aside from resting Marv and EE for a handful of snaps there is also the matter of Fleming looking like a dolphin trying to catch a beach ball at the moment.
But I agree if it hasn’t happened we aren’t going to whip it out for Michigan.
There are games recently especially on the road where are passing game isn’t scheming guys open consistently.
We rely so heavily on an absurd contested catch on a perfectly thrown ball.
