WR L'Christian Smith (transfer to Cincinnati, transfer to Western Kentucky)

After looking at his FNL clips on Friday (thanks @Smudger), I said to myself, "now THAT is a WR. Not a TE." There is no telling what happens after a few years with Marotti and training table, but right now he looks to me like Michael Jenkins wth more speed/athleticism. IMO it is in the team's best interest if he stays lean and mean.

Though I agree, I think Urban/Wilson will find ways to get him the ball any way they can. And though he can be a big possession WR. I can also see him as an athletic TE mismatch nightmare like OJ Howard was at Alabama

Went into FNL thinking L'Christian was pegged to be a sidelines/over-the-middle/red zone jump-ball type of receiver. As you can see from the highlights MD Buckeye put up from FNL (definitely check them out, if you haven't yet), his route running was crispy and sudden, particularly on short routes, which was a real eye opener. Nice quickness as well. L'Christian has LOTS to his game. He was really hard to guard 1-on-1 and displayed some great hands, naturally catching the ball away from his body, and at one point laying out to successfully make a catch.

WR all the way, as long as he can keep lean. Impressed with his skill set. He is not going to be a project... he's going to compete with WRs currently on the roster when he gets on campus. Match-up nightmare that can play anywhere up and down the sideline... too quick and sudden for LBs, too long for DBs.

Love thinking about the combination of L'Christian & Babb, with Gill at H-Back... the thing of daydreams and nightmares, depending on who you are

Not according to Birm...

BTW, Andrew Lind from 11W said as much in their forum last night
