Sign him up for returns! If James can work on his polish, he is going to be one heck of a WR here. That kind of speed can't be taught.

6. James Jackson
Position: WR/CB
Ht./Wt.: 6-0/178
High school: Grand Ledge
College: Ohio State
Best experience: I visited UCLA but it was the Ohio State visit that stood out. Just to see how the players interacted.
Worst experience: I didn't have one. I enjoyed it all.
Would you like to see an early signing period? It would be beneficial. Now, you can make a decision and the college coaches still call you.
Would you have signed early? No
Why not MSU? Too close to home. I wanted to venture out.
Why not U-M? Because Lloyd Carr left. I still have respect for coach Rodriguez.
Grand Ledge's Jackson happy to be a Buckeye

GRAND LEDGE - In his coach's classroom, tucked into a quiet corner of his school Wednesday, mid-Michigan's most highly regarded football prospect in 16 years quietly finished off a two-year rollercoaster ride through college recruiting.
That Grand Ledge's James Jackson signed a letter of intent with Ohio State wasn't a surprise. The senior receiver said he'd do so last May.
But it was still a relief. Comparisons and criticisms followed his first scholarship offers sophomore year. An injury-plagued junior year was trumped by an all-state senior campaign.
But in the end, it's fair to conclude that Jackson was this area's highest-recruited prospect since East Lansing's Randy Kinder selected Notre Dame in 1993.
"I know it's rare for people to come out of Lansing to go to a major university, or to Ohio State for that matter. But I don't want to brag to anybody and rub in their faces that I'm going to Ohio State," Jackson said. "Where I come from, and how I was raised, they prepared me for this day. I just feel like I'm even more fortunate than others, but I'm not better than anybody."
But he was wanted more than most. Jackson also fielded scholarship offers from the likes of Alabama, Florida, UCLA and the best of the Big Ten. He visited only one other school - UCLA in December - but remained firmly with the Buckeyes.
He was one of four receivers signed by the Buckeyes, who are replacing both of last season's starters and a returner for both punts and kicks, Jackson said. He hopes to play immediately. He's considering majoring in business or communications.
Jackson is now nearly 6-feet tall and 175 pounds. And he's still as fast as ever - he ran a fantastic 6.97 in the 60-meter dash Friday - although he won't have a chance to reclaim the 100-meter state title he won as a sophomore because he'll graduate at the end of this month and enroll at Ohio State at the end of March.
