Anyone who questions JT's DB recruiting is a fool.
Whitner? Salley? Youboty? Jenkins? JamO? Gamble?
I think I will trust Coach to make the right decisions on DB's.
I underlined Youboty and Jenkins because neither were "big time" recruits, and look at them now...

Congrats to Grant! Commit now, we need some good news!

To build on Stroh's point (kinda), star ratings mean squat. Take a few guys from our 2005 class (current freshmen) for example:

DE
Worthington (5-star) hasn't played yet
Wilson (3-star) is in the two-deep and has played

CB
O'Neal (5-star) moved to safety, played only on special teams
Jenkins (3-star) starter as nickle back, in two-deep at corner

Nothing against Doug or Jamario, but I'm simply showing how high school star ratings mean little to nothing when it comes to performance and production at the college level. Grant's 2-star rating should be taken with a truck-load of salt.

Grant is awaiting a conversation will Coach Tressel today sometime. I would have liked that to have waited till that happened before this news came out but timing being what it is, Rivals called him yesterday and Grant didn't know that I wanted the news to keep. So here we are:! . I do not consider it "official" until that conversation occurs. Until then it is, in my mind "unofficial". That being said, out of respect to the tOSU, I'd like to take it one step at a time. I promise to let you all know of all the "official" happenings. Thank you so much for ALL the support and love the Grant gets from the BP and Buckeye nation. It's overwhelming to say the least.

I have posted this before, but I really do believe that Grant may be the Plan B QB in this class. If Henton doesn't make it through admissions, I wouldn't be stunned to see Grant start out at QB on the scout team, redshirt, and have the staff assess where he best fits going into his RS frosh year. And before anyone brings up Bellisari, remember he was recruited as a QB and Grant was recruited as a safety.

I hope he turns out to be a stud-maybe as a LB or QB instead of safety. I just wish Tressel got as excited about recruiting OL and RBs as he is about safeties!!!!!!!!! Good Luck in the Scarlet and Gray Grant.
