WR Emeka Egbuka (All B1G, All-American)

He had a break through season this year. He’s going to go off next season.
In fact, the last time Ohio State returned a kickoff for a touchdown was 2010, when former running back Jordan Hall went 85 yards for a score in the second quarter of a 37-7 win over Michigan.
The punt return touchdown is a little more recent, though, as former wide receiver Jalin Marshall returned one 54 yards for a score in the third quarter of the Buckeyes’ 42-27 win over Indiana in 2014.

I'm really hoping for a "break through season" on kick/punt returns in 2023. It's been a long time since someone ran one back for a TD.

Well, he was PR1 and WR-Slot1 last season. I don't think anyone could legitimately beat him out; so I'd expect the same in 2023. X. Johnson will probably still get most of the kick off return opportunities.
Correct….he will not handle KO return duties bc risk of injury is too high. Likely Xavier or back-up WR with ability to make people miss…..based on Day’s recent history, you could also expect it to be someone who is behind on depth chart that needs to see field in some capacity (similar to Fleming 2 years ago and Chip last year).

Emeka handles punts bc he’s so sure handed. Without looking at the stats, I’d estimate he fair catches the ball 90+ percent of the time. It typically isn’t about returns with tOSU special teams on punts…..
