Isn't Dwayne Bowe still owed money? :lol: In all honesty, he would be exactly what the Browns have been looking for in a tall, fast WR. They tried experimenting with TP at WR, but I think they needed immediate production, and TP was too much of a project. That's what Duron can give them, and it's been reporter he will look to sign with an NFL team following the CFL season.

Last night's actions after that ridiculous TD catch doesn't change my stance one bit on that. The NFL put up with Terrell Owens for well over a decade. Granted, I'm not saying he will ever be to the level of TO in terms of talent or stats. He would, however, be more than serviceable on over half of these NFL teams.

He got a raw deal in Indianapolis where they were obligated to give Andre Johnson every chance to earn that $7 mil a year. Hell, even Hakeem Nicks made $3.5 mil. Anyone remember what exactly he did to earn that?

Instead, he's in Montreal making something in the ballpark of $200-250k. That number is probably a bit generous as the CFL's top receiver makes $250k :yow1:

Yeah, and it was a crime Duron didn't get a chance at Ohio State or Alabama, too. :roll1:

Then again, maybe there's a reason he's been banished to the CFL? I went to school with Cris, and was excited when Duron choose OSU, but the track record shows Duron makes dumb decisions and he showed last night that he still hasn't figured it out, yet. The only person who has screwed Duron Carter is Duron Carter.

You're right. He has done himself no favors by his actions off the field. But you can't deny the slim opportunity he had in Indianapolis. His off the field actions had nothing to do with his relegation to the practice squad. The Colts had two overpaid bums, just drafted a receiver, and had two top tier WRs in Moncrief and Hilton when they signed him. They had invested too much into Johnson and Nicks to not give them opportunity after opportunity.

I do think the Browns should've given him a look. But they were dealing with Johnny Dickhead. It's a shame his knucklehead antics last night overshadowed a great touchdown catch. Instead of possibly playing himself into an opportunity he reminded NFL teams of his shortcomings.

You're right about that. The NFL would overlook all this garbage if he were good enough. Problem is that he isn't good enough and then to add to it, he's not exhibiting the best of behavior. That's not going to get him anywhere.

Buckeyes playing pro football north of the border in the CFL.

Former four-star recruit Duron Carter could potentially be catching passes from Vince Young for the Saskatchewan Roughriders in 2017. Carter spent the previous season with the Montreal Alouettes, but in classic Duron Carter fashion he was cut due to off-field issues.

Although still extremely productive, Carter was suspended for pushing the opposing team’s coach during a game, and he got into two altercations with starting quarterback Rakeem Cato. Carter has consistently shined during his time in the CFL, and he will probably do so again in 2017.

Carter was part of Saskatchewan's 4th quarter comeback at Toronto in the CFL semifinals yesterday. The Riders fell in the final minute at Toronto.
