WR Duron Carter (Official Thread)

This guy thinks the Browns should claim him off waivers:

Claiming Duron Carter Would Make Sense

The Cleveland Browns cut down their roster to 53 man yesterday but we expect changes today at noon when waiver claims are submitted and players are claimed. Duron Carter is a player the Browns could claim, here is why it would make sense.

Of course he does...all Buckeye/Browns fans want former Buckeyes to be signed. If most Browns fans had their way, the Browns would just be OSU football grad school.

I'm not in favor of drafting every Buckeye, but hell...
even as reaches, Roby or Hyde would've been better picks in 2014 than Manziel (or Gabriel for that matter).
Khalil Mack or a WR would've been preferable for their own 1st round pick... none of whom were Buckeyes.

Which might just actually result in the Browns having a "winning record" every once in a while......

Year..W..L
2008 4 12
2009 5 11
2010 5 11
2011 4 12
2012 5 11
2013 4 12
2014 7 9
2015 3 13

Watching all of these insane contracts being agreed to in the NBA with the cap jumping $23 million, and then looking up average salaries in CFL. It's a crime Duron isn't making money in the NFL.

Last night's actions after that ridiculous TD catch doesn't change my stance one bit on that. The NFL put up with Terrell Owens for well over a decade. Granted, I'm not saying he will ever be to the level of TO in terms of talent or stats. He would, however, be more than serviceable on over half of these NFL teams.

He got a raw deal in Indianapolis where they were obligated to give Andre Johnson every chance to earn that $7 mil a year. Hell, even Hakeem Nicks made $3.5 mil. Anyone remember what exactly he did to earn that?

Instead, he's in Montreal making something in the ballpark of $200-250k. That number is probably a bit generous as the CFL's top receiver makes $250k :yow1:

$250K is still a great living but you're right about not getting a full opportunity. Hate to keep bringing them up but what exactly would be stopping the Browns from adding him with their garbage roster of WRs?
