Game Thread Wisconsin 13, tOSU 31 (Oct 10, 3:30 ET, ABC/ESPN)

I think it will be a closer game than most are advertising here. They have a better QB than they've had in the past, so that should compliment there run game. Either way I'm excited to see how our D reacts to a big runner like John Clay.

Still see OSU coming out on top. OSU23-Wiscy13.

[Bernini] I can't believe this thread is on page 6 and you guys haven't even mentioned Tolzien's name yet. [/Bernini]

Seriously, Tolzien looks to me like the best QB they've had since Sorgi. tOSU's first defensive priority will obviously be to stop the run, but Tolzien has more ability than the other Wiscy QBs over the last 5 years or so.

Tolzein sounds like some kind of asshole cream.

The last time they won at Ohio Stadium, Wisky made all kinds of trash talk about how they owned the Shoe as their home stadium.

Ohio State needs to deliver a beat down.
Agreed 100%. The defense should be great as usual. It all comes down to our offense scoring touchdowns and moving the ball. The offense needs to hold up their end of things and not rely on the defense to keep us in the game. I think they can and will play their best game so far this year and I expect us to win 34-13.

Randon thoughts/observations

Well I have watched them play 3 games this year. Heres what I think.

Offensively...Tolzien is probably more accurate than Sorgi. I think he is the best throwing QB at Wisky for awhile. I like the fact he isn't all that great running. I think we get 3+ sacks.

Clay is very good but he is not better than the stable USC has nor is their OL better than SC's. Nick Toon and the rest of the Wisky WR's are very good. Their replacements at RB E. Smith and Brown are not as good and are a significant dropoff.

Graham is one hell of a TE.

Stop the run...our DB's can handle their business.

This is the most balanced offense we have faced. USC probably has better horses overall. I think we can hold them under 17.

Their weakness is their Defense. The have solid linebackers and DL but their secondary is nothing to brag about. I think our play-action can eat them up. I would go 4-5 wide on their defense...test their secondary and linebackers in coverage early.

They are a good team...better than last years Badgers but IMO OSU's defense is gonna tear them up. I see us winning the turnover battle.

If we can score TD's in the red zone instead of kicking FG's I think we can beat them soundly. I hope Tress opens it up instead of tightening it up.

BTW Minny put up more points against Wisconsin than they did against CAL(HORRIBLE DEFENSE)

Their kicker Welch is very good.

Minny is a one dimensional team. They don't have a running game whatsoever.

We have got to play special teams better...They have had problems on their coverage units.
