He's been the started now for almost a year and a half. These types of performances have been going on too long to keep giving him a free pass. I like Pryor and I still think he might have the potential to be great, but it's about time we see some production out of him. 190 yards of total offense just won't cut it 95% of the time.

Huh? The offense didn't even take a snap in the first 13 mins of the 2nd half. And by that time, it was only to milk the clock. This game didn't reveal squat about the offense other than they still need work (which they'll get against patsies the next 3 weeks).

Due to their fearlessness, Badgers haven't had any known enemies. You are their first. This is quite a zoological discovery.

Unlike Alvarez', Bielema's teams don't personify the Badgers who symbolize their program. They actually relent quite easily.....ironically that's their main problem.

TP looked much better in 2/3 of his games last year as a true frosh. For the potential to matter, there has to be some improvement. I am officially getting worried (haven't panicked yet though).

I'm starting to wonder if that's really an asset. A win is a win is a win but he hasn't been too impressive (consistently) in any game this year. He's till a work in progress.

It's shit like this that keep the rest of us from being able to talk about Pryor without having to talk about guys like Troy Smith and Vince Young. :2004:

I mentioned this in the offense discussion thread. Pryor's plate is full this year. He isn't just a caretaker like last year and there is no Beanie Wells for defenses to gameplan around. Pryor is being given more freedom.

Expect more bonehead plays and more brilliant plays.

Expect more bonehead plays and more brilliant plays.

The fact that Tressel trusts him with this offense at this point is really quite telling (he never gave Krenzel this kind of playbook and Troy didn't get it until he was a Sr.).

Fact: I'm not worried about our Offense at all with the funk nasty D there. There isn't an offense on our schedule that will score more than ten on them. That will give our YOUNG QB time for the game to slow down. After that....it's over...FUCKING OVER.

bingo. pryor and the offense is still an inconsistent hot mess. they have all the pieces they just need time to gell. once they do.... dear mother of all things holy.

Several Wisconsin fans complained that they were overly strict in calling holding today. I was not one of them, no excuses from me about that, the refs just certainly weren't lenient toward Wisconsin as appears to be the implication. Truth is somewhere in the middle. Traditionally, Wisconsin has gotten a lot of flack for holding from opposing fans, and usually it's just sour grapes. I mean there will be like 7 holding calls, and fans would still complain just because they couldn't wrap their head around how they were mauled by bulbous milk fed young men.

Last year they had beanie and didn't throw much. They kept the offense very very vanilla for Terelle. This year he is being asked to do way more with a new young line and no Beanie.
Remember how much better Juice Williams looked with Mendenhall 2 years ago?
I wont argue with anybody that says tp needs to get way way better. But I promise you will be a happy guy at the end of this year and a VERY happy guy next year.
