Headline for Sportscenter's highlight reel will say Ohio State wins despite bad showing by offense... Guaranteed. Like someone said earlier, the media loves explosive offenses over GREAT defenses. I loved the overall performance of Ohio State. Although the offense struggled most of the first half, they showed they can move the ball late in the 2nd. They never really had a chance to get any rhythm in the second half with the pick 6 and the KR for a TD. That being said, BRING ON PURDONT!

GO BUCKS! :oh:

I can understand the frustration with the O, but they really didn't get much time to play out there and did have two good drives. Definitely need improvement but it's hard for me to be upset with a big win and such a great performance by the D.

NIce game for the Bucks. only 185 yards of total offense but when the offense is kept off the field in pick 6's and returns I expect that would hold down the offensive stats.

9 drives.

6 drives for 3 and outs

1 drive for 6 plays and 11 yards

2 sustained drives for a total of 148 yards and 10 points.

The offense will have a lot to talk about this week.

Does anyone else want to see Ohio State matched up with Virginia Tech in a bowl game and just put it on them?

Perhaps it's because I live in Virginia but I'd love to see a beatdown put on the Hokies.

Agreed. Funny how they go from talking about 1 loss Ohio State's impressive performance and it becomes overshadowed by VT's IMPRESSIVE performance against unranked and still over rated BC.

Fresno State made the UW D look pretty average.

42 players with the Flu, some presumably the Swine Flu, should be factored into your analysis.

And Fresno State is the same team who dropped 34 (none of the garbage variety) on BSU, who allowed Oregon 8 points.

Not saying OSU's performance shouldn't be cause for concern, it should, 10 points (or whatever it was) against even a pretty good defense, shouldn't be acceptable and could spell future problems, all I'm saying is put it in proper perspective and don't get the facts twisted.

The offense was frusterating to watch but TP made sure we all knew he knows how to put his foot down and throw a punch to the gut anytime of the game...(TD drive with the long pass to Posey)

They had a bad day, but im still confident they know how to step up when its make or break.

How about that D???
Defense wins championships, and today proves it...Way to go guys!

Ohio State might have the best defense in the country. Besides the Navy game they have been amazing. I think Alabama, Ohio State, Florida have the three best defenses in the country.

Ohio State offense didn't look that great. Pryor hasn't played well this year. Maybe it's all the expections but he has a few games down the road to improve and put up some numbers.

If the defense plays like they have, they should win the rest of their games. The Ohio St/Penn St match up might be a 7-6 game and if you like defense that will be a fun one to watch.

John Saunders: "A very impressive win"

But the 30-0 win over Illinois was unimpressive? Okey dokey.

So... OSU shuts out Illinois with limited O and John Saunders says it was unimpressive. Today, Ohio State gives up 13 to Wiscy, runs 40 offensive plays (to Wiscy's 89) and he calls them "extremely impressive"

lol

Wow. Very original thought there. :roll1:

Don't try to use logic to figure out what Saunders says. It will just short circuit your brain at best. At worst, you'll actually understand his thinking, which will mean you are REALLY screwed up.

Just because I don't understand what Saunders says doesn't mean I'm not REALLY screwed up anyways.

Fact: I'm not worried about our Offense at all with the funk nasty D there. There isn't an offense on our schedule that will score more than ten on them. That will give our YOUNG QB time for the game to slow down. After that....it's over...FUCKING OVER.
