Wife/Husband/Significant Other Gripes

I was at a 4th of July party last night with Mrs. Dryden and, while talking to one of my brothers-in-law, was reminded of one of my biggest pet peeves -- she has a terrific gift of volunteering me to do stuff for other people on my days off, like helping her family move from Bremen to Grove City, or fixing their computers, or whatever. :roll2:

ah geez you had to go and remind me of that one...

I can't tell you how many times I've helped people with "computer" problems because it's less aggravating to do it than to listen to my wife complain. All this because I have a freakin' BSEE from a Big 10 university. Here's a clue for those of you who don't know: Just because I know what the electrons are doing doesn't mean I know or care WTF Bill Gates is screwing up in your registry or what Phoenix did to your BIOS or what some virus has done to your genitals.

Here is another one although my wife has finally given up on this one...

Why in the world do women may wife especially have to either throw out old sentimental items or sell them in garage sales? Case in point about ten years ago I find her trying to sell some of my old golf clubs at a garage sale. Some of the clubs were okay to sell as I had told her previously they were okay to sell. But she didn't stop there as she added a couple of vintage putters to the sale. It was only after I noticed them in the pile after a woman was commenting that she should purchase the set for her husband that they were saved.

Now I don't go through my wife's stuff and throw things out or sell them or give them to Goodwill. Why in the world do women find the need to do this?????? Do other guys have the same problem??

This is another classic! I think it's part of the "homemaking" gene!
You know, clean out the "nest" every spring. :tongue2:

can't say i've had that issue. In fact, I can't get ther throw anything away. Stuff will sit unused for years, I'll toss them out, still in the plastic. The very next week, she'll ask about it. Sorry babe, its gone.

OMG... Hit the nail on the head. Every weekend when we go down to her families house I am there working like a dog. Daddy tried to set up a wireless network I said you would fix it, my brother needs help getting his weight bench put together, can you help my other brother pack for college, my sister needs you to look at her boyfriends resume. BTW your mom called when we go to Lancaster I said you would help with the garden and gutters... Yeah this was all this weekend... So glad I decided to take some time off....lol

I HATE SHOPPING. Why does it take a woman sooooo long to run into the store and buy something.... even if it's just getting something like Milk... I'm in and out in two minutes but it will take my wife a half an hour....

I'm quite the opposite...

Of course I only spend 2 minutes in the store...

Now... the bar on the way to the store is another thing entirely.
