I beg to differ. Michigan is part of the family. Granted, they're the obnoxious brother that you love to beat, but at the end of the day (as much as you hate to admit it) there's as many similarities and ties as there are differences.

Notre Dame is not family. They are the insufferably arrogant shithead down the block that is all too ready--all evidence to the contrary--to loudly proclaim that he's too good, too special to ever associate with your family. Notre Dame is not family. Notre Dame is a freakish, alien character that is unfit to be part of our family, even a hated part.

Rule Number One - TSUN is not liked round these parts, never was, never will be.
Rule Number Two - Never steer someone away from their natural genetic avocation as a Buckeye - which is to detest TSUN and all things North of Toledo.
Rule Number Three - we generally treat ND as a drunken uncle is treated. Fun for a while laughing at all his stories of past glories (those 4 Horsemen vs the Army of Doom screeds always crack us up). Then he catches up the present day and starts breaking wind, after which he just stinks.

I will always, repeat always, root for Michigan when they are playing Notre Dame or someone out of conference.

I still don't give a damn for the whole state of Michigan, but I want Ohio State to be a worthy champion of the Big 10 which means beating a good Michigan team along the way.
