MD - voting on prospective success is what Domers do :tongue2: if you feel JT IS the best coach that is one thing, if you feel he WILL be the best in the future then your vote does not answer the question.

Everyone who votes on this should get a Woody - and that includes the girls. :wink2:
And I suppose you are proposing the use of your "woody"? :tongue2:

As did I, since I'm only 23.

You guys owe it to yourselves, as Buckeye fans, to learn more about Woody and what he meant to the University and his players - especially after their playing days with tOSU were over. (i.e. more than he was volatile and he slugged Charlie Bauman)

Couldn't agree more. To be honest, I would be willing to bet that JT has many of the characteristics of WWH, when the cameras are off. And, I guarantee that Woody had many of JT's characteristics when the cameras were off. What do I mean by that? JT can be a tough son-of-a-gun when needed. Senator Tressel can more than handle himself in tough situations. Conversely, despite the image shown by the media, Woody was a very caring, very community minded man who was quite compassionate, when the media was not around. He did the "right thing", because that's the way it should be, not because of what he wanted others to think. I like to think that Woody was perfect for Ohio State in the era (50's-70's) that he coached. Tressel is the ideal guy to coach in this age. As far as my vote, I abstain.

Although I voted for Woody, folks need to appreciate just what Paul Brown did for Ohio State. Folks say that Woody got the ball rolling for Ohio State football, but it was really Paul Brown who did. Without Paul Brown, there'd probably be no Woody and thus no Ohio State football as we know it today..

Paul Brown laid the foundation, Woody built the house and JT has rebuilt Woody's house. I voted for JT not for being the best coach at tOSU but because he's my favorite coach and that's saying a lot because I remember coach Hayes and watching games he coached. Having said that, I hope to see the day JT breaks all Woody's records.

Not every day where you can vote for a guy that did what every coach wanted to do when they were losing, which is punch a player from the opposing team. Can't see JT doing something like that. I live in FL and my boss went to Clemson during that era, and thats all I hear about when he passes my office.
