Gatorubet,

What's the word on Tebow eventually in the NFL draft? Does he stick around for a fourth year?

The man is the product of home schooling by his Missionary parents, and so he does not march to the beat of your average NFL wannabe kid's drum. It all depends of what he wants to do with his life. I see him getting his degree, so I guess I'd need to know if he can graduate in three years. If so, then maybe. But I do not see him leaving without a degree. Harvin will be gone after next year for sure, but my guess would be Time stays for two more.

(Bowden said after the game that Tim would play another three years - so you never know:slappy:)

I think Mr. White should at least make the trip to NY. I dont see him having a chance to win, but it would be nice to see him get the invite. He's a phenomenal player....

I agree actually, I think they are going to have to invite 5-6 people this year, there's a couple clear cut favorites but quite a few honorable mentions as well.

Other: I went with UCF's Kevin Smith. Anyone chasing down Barry Sanders' single season and Ron Dayne's career rushing records respectively deserves my vote.

Just so you know, the 2,628 yards that they list for his record total in '88 doesn't include 222 in the bowl game, so Barry Sanders actually had 2,850 that year. I know Smith has had a great year, but I don't think he's going to make it to 2,850. :wink2:

I agree with DBB, that McFadden may get the Heisman this year as much for what he did last year as what he did this year.

That said, I think any voter who votes McFadden for Heisman this year has already resigned to give Tebow the Heisman next year to make up for it. It would be really unfortunate if a) Tebow gets hurt next year and ends up not getting a Heisman that he deserved this year but voters "banked" for next year, or b) next year, Tebow has a pretty good season but some other player (Beanie ) has a simply phenomonal season but gets passed over for the Heisman because people feel bad about not giving it to Tebow this year and give it to him next year when he isn't the most deserving candidate.

Sanders was a fuckin' slacker...he was a whole 150 yards from 3,000.

I myself like McFadden; he's outproduced himself from last year, which is no easy feat - then single handly beats LSU: - Tebow is a monster, but Ark's offense.... pretty much the entirely team, marches to the beat MCF brings.

well right now the Heisman sites have the five finalists as Chase Daniel, Tim Tebow, Pat White, Dennis Dixon, and Darren McFadden. No real surprise there, I think a lot of voters are going to wait for the OKlahoma game to turn in their ballots, of Chase Daniel manages to beat Oklahoma it will greatly increase his value. I still think Tebow runs away with it but who knows, also, where's Colt Brennen in this list?

Colt is screwed. He plays in the WAC and missed a couple of games this year.
