Doesn't your reasoning for not voting for White also preclude you from voting for Dixon?

Dixon is because of Injury, they did beat USC, Arizona State and Michigan when he was at the helm, West Va has beaten Rutgers and Cinci. Comparing the Pac 10 to the Big (L)east is laughable, especially when you toss in Southern Cal.

Tebow plays for a perennial powerhouse...Reesing plays for a heretofore laughingstock of football. Guess which team is now undefeated and ranked #2. By the way, if you're so sure that no one but Tebow deserves it, you could at least spell his name right...

 I am used to people calling him teabag I assumed his name was spelled that way.

Anyway let's not start playing up Ressing. Yeah he has had a great year on a team that is normally the bottom of the barrel. That #2 ranked team has also played nobody and I mean nobody yet. They have played like three teams that have a winning record so I am not as impressed by Reesing as I am a guy who plays in the SEC against much tougher competition.

Not to mention how many QB's have ever thrown for 20 TD's and ran for 20 TD's in the 100+ years of college football? That's right none. Doing something nobody else has done in a good league trumps a QB who so far has played well against a bunch of middle the road or bottom feeder teams.

I think Tebow will get it, but I don't want him to because I want Archie Griffin to remain the only two-time Heisman winner. If he does, he will be the front runner for next year. I am rooting for DMF or someone else to take the trophy home this year. We'll see.

I have thought about that and I doubt the voters will give it to a winner a second time. If he gets it this year odds are it will go to someone else next, unless the rest of the nation really sucks.

It wouldnt be the first time a sophmore was the best player in the nation and got passed because of his class.... most recently im thinking larry fitzgerald..

what reesing has done to this point deserves a trip to ny, if he beats missou you have to consider him in the top two if not the favorite. If he beats oklahoma there shouldnt even be a question, its his.

Tebow is really really good. His stats however are inflated because like others have said, he IS that offense.. He is the go to guy on every play because they dont have much else.. but they have a good line and some good distractors aka harvin. 20 Tds throwing is seriously not impressive. 20 Tds running, that is, but thats what he does, he is a running qb who doesnt have a running back to go with him... still he should be in at 2 or 3.

havent seen daniel play so i cant say a whole lot but his numbers are ridiculous he deffinately deserves a trip.

Mcfadden is ridiculously talented, felix jones kills his hype though, and the fact that arkansas just isnt that good... i think maybe him or reesing should win it though, im tired of this new trend of this being a Qb only award.

Beenie should get more talk than he is, but he shouldnt win it by any means.

Dorsey and laurinitis may be the two most derserving players but its pointless to bring it up because defenders just cant win it now.

There is no way you can just hand it to Reesing even if he beats Mizzu and OU.

Tebow has thrown more than 20 TD's he actually has 26 right now.

Ressing 228/360 2910 Yds 63.3% 30 TD 4 INT
Tebow 198/289 2870 Yds 68.5% 26 TD 6 INT

Those numbers are pretty close. Now factor in Tebows running and the fact he has done it against far stiffer competition and I say he is much better than Reesing. He might be the O but he is that good and you can't blame him for Florida not having anything else. It is like blaming R-Kansas for not having another good back and that is why Mcfadden is so good.

It took me awhile to understand this bit, because it took some time to wrap my mind around someone saying this about Tebow in the context of a comparison to Reesing.

  • Tebow has future NFL linemen protecting him
  • Reesing, not so much
  • Tebow is throwing to future NFL receivers, including Percy Harvin
  • Reesing... OK, without using the internet, name one of his receivers
Yes, Florida has played much better competition; this is not a post about which deserves the Heisman. The point is, it is Reesing who comprises his team's entire offense, not Tebow.

The fact that I have to use 'other' to vote for a QB with 30 TD's and 4 interceptions on an undefeated team in a BCS conference shows that your list is missing a very deserving candidate, Todd Reesing of Kansas.

Yea sorry about that. Looking back at it I probably should have added him but I didn't want to make a poll of a ton of people. This was the list I pretty much used to pluck them out:

https://r.espn.go.com/espn/contests/theheismanvote/index

Ressing isn't even on this ESPN list. :shake:
