If I have to eliminate one then.... Texas loss was kinda bad... We outplayed them, and we still lost. At PSU, we got are arse kicked...so they deserve that one.

I disagree on both counts:

First, Texas outgained us by 127 yards, and all but shut us down when they kept turning the ball in their territory...you have to tip your hats to their defense for that. With three turnovers in their territory the first 30:41 of the game, it had a possibility of becoming a huge blowout, but it didn't turn out that way. Keep in mind they were in our place, in the most hyped OOC game possibility in our history, and they still won. Yeah, if Hamby catches the TD pass we win, yada yada. Even if he did and we won the game, Texas played us even throughout.

Second, Penn State didn't kick our asses, at least no worse than we did theirs. Keep in mind the playing conditions were shitty, and we shut down their offense as much as they did ours. We had 35 more yards and five more first downs. Turnovers were key, as we lost a fumble and an interception while they didn't commit a single turnover...only the bad decision by Troy resulting in the INT return to our 2 yard line kept this from being an epic overtime game. We went into a way-better-than-anyone-realized team's place, that had fans that had been camping our for a whole week just for this game (one of their biggest games in their storied history) and still played them dead even. The ass-kicking was definitely mutual.

thinking ahead

i say without a doubt texas and mainly because of the fact that we have to play em again next year. we played like crap at penn state and throwing out the interception and subsequent points scored, we basically played em to a draw. the texas game through my rose colored glasses we outplayed em but our failure to capitalize on great field position lead to us losing the game, rather than texas outplaying us to any large degree. with the chance that these back to back games of osu vs texas maybe being the only times they will meet in our lifetimes, i would rather be going down to texas next year being up 1-0 in the series with the chance of at worst splitting the series. we can and will be able to avenge this loss to penn state any number of times over the next few years.

I went with Texas for a couple reasons. The first is because I was there and I left hardly able to walk because I about passed out after the A.J Hawk INT. The crowd that night was jus insance, it was a night I'll never forget. The Media attention was huge, and there was a buzz around campus like I've never seen before. The streets were lined with people, and when we got into the skulll session is when my night really started. From in the skull session all the way to game time I still consider it the craziest crowd I've ever seen. When they played Carmen Ohio Before the game on the field and then dotted the "I", then straight after we took the field. My god I've never heard anything that loud before. Also because We straight up outplayed Texas. We outplayed them in basically every category besides "BIG PLAYS" I don't know how many plays Texas had for over 20 yards... To give them the game after our defense played HUGE all night was jus heart breaking to see Hawk, Carpenters, and Co.'s efforts be waisted. Althought I love Hamby, man oh man I've was never so mad at an OSU player than I was at him right after the game..... So its Texas for me boys.

Ps. I still shake my head and wonder what could've been when I watch the highlights from that game on my computer.....

I think the wearing down we gave to PennSt was a good deal of the reason scUM was able to play them so well the following week. If PennSt had played anybody besides the Buckeyes before playing MeatChicken, they would have been all over LLLLoyd & Company. I think we wore them down a lot more than they wore us down.

as huge as the penn st game loss was, i have to go with the texas loss..man ive never felt like i did when the final second ticked off the clock after the game..i had looked so forward to that game for so long..there was so much hype around the game...

i say this, and ive said it since the texas loss..if we would have beat them, we would have ran the table, hands down..we would have had so much motivation coming off that win, the rest of the season would have been such an emotional high from that game..

OMG the Texas game, man oh man oh man did that one hurt. There was so much hype and waiting for that game. We had that game and just let fall from our hands(literally). I use to hate Texas but after that game I root for them in the Big 12 not because it helps us but they played with class.

I also choose Texas because losing at home is always worse then losing on the road IMO. We played like absolute dog shit in the PSU game and they beat us because of it.

I do wonder what the Texas game would have been like with a ready Troy Smith. Could have, would have, should have.

Both loses came to great teams, but TEXAS fans are a lot more gracious in victory then the Penn State bastards that is for sure.

Come on guys! This should be a run away!!! The PSU loss hurts way more than the Texas loss. The Bucks would be sitting at #3 right now rooting for a UCLA win and a rematch with the Horns! At worst, it would be an undefeated Big 10 season and an outright championship.

I would have to go with the loss to UT for personal reasons. Not only did I get shit-faced and pass out, I started crying in my friend's car after regaining consciousness and made an ass out of myself. I wish my friends were more sympathetic but what the hell do they understand.

The consequences in recruiting are far more damaging as well.
