So, you figure OSU would be #3 if we beat PSU? I could buy that. Then, I'd be rooting for Colorado or UCLA this weekend. :p

Yeah, and I don't see how there'd be any doubt honestly. If your only loss came to the #2 team, a 3-point game that came down to the last 2 minutes...and you had played like a great team in every game INCLUDING that one loss, I don't see any other 1-loss team that would be even half as deserving of the #3 spot.

I'm not so sure if you guys would be #2 over the PSU team that beat you. I suppose the computers MIGHT be able to push you into that spot, but man what an uproar that would bring.

No doubt that we would be be ahead of them. We were #4 when we lost to you, and we dropped to like #8 or #9 with that loss. Had we beat you, we'd be #3 or #2 when we went into Crappy Valley to play a mid-teens ranked PSU. Our loss to them drops us to about #6 or #7 while their win puts them right behind us or even just ahead of us. Their subsequent loss at Michigan would put them several places, at least, back behind us in the polls. There would be no discussion, let alone an uproar, about us being ranked ahead of them dispite losing to them at their place.

Yeah, I honestly didn't think about the fact that they would have been ranked 10+ spots lower tha you coming into the game there. You're definitely right.

I voted for Texas for the same reason as JXC.

If we had won that game, the BCS would be very interesting right now, trying to choose from among 1-loss tOSU, Texas, Penn St., LSU, and VaTech.

I think it would be very close between tOSU and Penn State for #2 in the BCS right now.

Plus I was at the Texas game, and a win would have been an epic experience that night.

I chose Texas. I would much rather have beaten Texas, on Woody's day. At halftime that game Woody's name got a place of honor in the 'Shoe for all of his accomplishments. That day it especially hurt that we couldn't bring one home in honor of one of the greatest coaches of ALL TIME who also happened to coach at Ohio State.

I don't like ANY loss but this is a tough call for me. Winning the Big Ten is first and foremost, but we're still considered a Big Ten champion regardless of the "co" in front of it. Considering that my thought is that had we beat Texas, we might have had a different mind set going into the PSU game and taken them out too. I voted for the PSU game as a gut reaction but upon further review I think the Texas loss might have been more damaging.

we didn't make a big enough deal over woody. i was very disappointed. i thought that was going to help motivate our guys and spur on a victory. it was a 3 minute "ceremony" if that.

now i'm starting to change my mind to texas.

I'll vote for Texas if that means it also changes what happens later in the season and we whoop Penn State's ass because we come into Happy Valley rolling and punching our ticket to Pasadena....wait, that's clearly cheating in this question, I can't take away both...:sad2:

There's gotta be a way to go back in time and change these things..... Who's on building the time machine duty???

I guess it doesn't much matter, give OSU back either of these games and OSU is in the BCS and in one scenario likely in the title game, and the other looking for an upset.

Now, if you asked if we could take back 2 losses..... :p
