My heart says 12-0 and beating the snot out of an SEC foe in the BCS NC game. Alabama would do.

My head says these are kids who just don't have their heads where they need to be - at least one week per season - so... 11-1 or 10-2 with a BCS bowl.

Games that make the anus sphincter contract: vs. Miami, @ Wisconsin, @ Iowa. But they will probably be ready for those and lose to Minny, Purdue, or the like.

Bottom line: Beating Michigan and winning B10 titles isn't gettting old.

My heart is the same as your heart.

My head, however...........is not. This is a seasoned team, with great junior-senior classes. I personally don't think that one single player on the team will forget the humiliation of either USC or Purdue. Both games were highly winnable.

For once, my head and heart both say 13-0, NC.

I was thinking about this earlier... then I saw Cam on the SI cover. You think he's going to let anyone take this season lightly? Not a mother f-ing chance.

However, I'm not willing to say we will go out and will all 13. Running the table is no gimmie. I always go back to the statistical method. Even if the Bucks enter every game with a 90% chance at winning, the odds of running the table are only 25.4%. Sure, the odds of beating some teams are better than 90%, but the odds of winning others are much less (@Iowa, @Wisky, NCG to name a few). Bottom line, 2002 was truly a magical season.

College football's 20 teams with best title shot for 2010 season - ESPN
Twenty teams with best title shot

You have already seen our power rankings.

But who are the 20 teams with the best actual shot at playing for a national title? We broke down the rosters and the schedule and came up with this list.
Remember, this is not a top-20 list. Rather, it is a list of teams and their chances of playing for a national championship. Does this mean Iowa and Oregon are going to meet in the BCS title game? Nope. It just means their roads might be easier than others.

3. Ohio State Though the Buckeyes have Terrelle Pryor and 15 other starters returning, the schedule is going to make their run to the title harder. They host Miami and have Big Ten games at Wisconsin and at Iowa.

College football coaches and teams that thrive in certain situations - ESPN
Be wary of these teams when …

Some coaches are great at scripting plays.

Some teams are most effective running their two-minute offense or when they get into the red zone.

You don't want to play certain teams on the road or on Thursday night, and some teams will make a punter shake in his boots when his feet are standing at his own goal line.

Here's a look at the coaches and teams you don't want to face in certain situations:

9. When trailing in fourth quarter: Ohio State
Some fans might argue that Ohio State's Jim Tressel is too conservative in his playcalling, but the man knows how to hold a lead. Since Tressel took over before the 2001 season, the Buckeyes are 82-6 when leading at halftime. They have been just as good at holding leads in the fourth quarter, allowing only four late comebacks by opponents in the past eight seasons. Under Tressel, OSU hasn't allowed an opponent to come back while holding a lead of seven points or more entering the fourth quarter.

i was watching sportsnation the other day and the guy on the show (forgot his name) was talking about ohio state, he said they would ROLL over miami and if they were to lose a game it would probably be to wisconsin. i know one game doesnt change much... but i hope the momentum from the rose bowl keeps going throughout the season. we got the monkey off our back and hopefully some haters off our backs as well. it shows that we do have what it takes. now lets get it done buckeyes!!!!!!!!

If any of us knew what would happen, for sure, we would be running a gambling operation. That's the fun of CFB. These are kids. They aren't consistent. The ball is oddly shaped and takes funny bounces. Luck is involved (look at Iowa). Only in CFB do you get excited anticipation with an equal amount of warranted paranoia and neurosis.
