Look, I've paid very close attention to Bama for the last few years, to the point of attending a game at Bryant-Denny. I not only agree with what BUCKYLE is saying, but I find it hard to believe that anyone could disagree if they've been watching. Alabama had a couple of years with flat-out amazing teams. That said, they are nowhere NEAR those teams this year. The lines aren't dominating, Yeldon is nothing compared to Ingram/Richardson, lacking playmakers, etc. I watched Bama slaughter and punish teams last year. This is not that same team, trust me. I honestly believe that FSU could blow the doors off of them if they keep a level head and don't get caught up in the hype. I think the Bucks could do the same. If the game against LSU lead you to believe otherwise, it's because they aren't as good this year either.

Based on OOC games, the SEC performed below where they were expected. LSU had an OK win against TCU a team that has been raped in the Big 12. Auburn had an OK win against Washington State who has been beated more handily several times in the Pac-12. A healthy Georgia got beat by a mediocre Clemson, and a horrible Florida team got beat by a Miami team that is just aweful. South Carolina struggled to beat a UCF team, who had a tight win over a HORRIBLE Penn State. I don't think any other SEC teams played an OOC game worth a damn.
I would actually say that I think the strongest conference this year based on OOC performances is the Pac-12. I have been very impressed by teams like Arizona State and UCLA, USC is playing really well and Stanford and Oregon are really though teams. I have actually been impressed with the Big Ten this year, and think we only sit behind the Pac-12 and SEC this year. tOSU, Wisconsin, MSU and Iowa are looking great the last few months. Iowa playing ISU close and losing to NIU really hurts them, but I think they have pulled to together and hope to see them playing the 3rd in the SEC B1G show down. I think Minny is overrated are are looking down the barrel of 2 loses in a row. If fucking ttun would pull their weight around here, the conference would be looking pretty good.

They have had a couple of years of flat out amazing team AND pulled in a top recruiting class to top it off. They lost a lot of players to the NFL, so they play younger guys, but those younger guys are ridiculously talented. They may start slow, but by the end of the season they have a season of experience and play like it. The problem with FSU is I haven't seen them play one good defense. Not one. They have only played 1 good offense, which isn't really that good. They haven't played a single team that has a strong line and can run the ball. Plus their quarterback will likely be going to prison, but that belongs in another thread so please don't comment on it.

Is there anything you can link us that shows this to be "likely"??

And if you don't want it commented upon, don't put it out there in the first place. FSU is every bit the team Bama is - the difference will be coaching.

Don't forget that the Vols lost to the Ducks, MSU lost to Okie State and UK lost to Louisville.

Iowa sucks. Can't believe any discussion would suggest otherwise.
Iowa has four losses to NIU, MSU, Wisky, and tOSU. The combined record of the four teams to beat them is 37-3. I think they'll give their bowl opponent all they can handle. I don't care who that is. They play tsun and Nebby to finish the season. They win both of those and they'll prove it. Three of their four losses could potentially be BCS Bowl teams.
