Part of the fun is the hunt. Auto trader and car gurus is a great resource for nationwide searches.I'd 100% travel for a good deal. That sounds like a blast. Thanks for the tip!
Am I the only person who still prefers a sedan?
I am looking to replace my current sedan next year. The Acura TLX Type S is the leader at this point. I will give the new 4Runner consideration, but what holds me back is the fact I will not use it for what it is built for - going offroad.
I drove a Bronco recently for several days. I did not leave too impressed.
You better be having an intimate relationship with your mechanic or its likely to cause bankruptcy
Just avoid getting one that‘s being sold because it got flooded by Helene or some other storm.
I have 320k clocked on my cars and another.. 200k probably in previous cars and zero non tire mechanic trips in those miles Last time I paid a mechanic to do something for me it involved welding axles in probably 2007.You and I and the two other people who prefer sedans can take a ride in whatever you pick up.
I’m with you though. If left to only one car, I may reconsider… but I love my sedan.
Am blessed that I have the choice.
Well, either way… Me thinks you will have to have an intimate relationship with your mechanic as you’re going to get fucked, regardless. May as well enjoy it.
Second point, if you were me you would drown your trash Audis in lake Michigan. You and I and the two other people who prefer sedans can take a ride in whatever you pick up.

That's why these are tough questions for me because I simply don't have a mechanic.
And it's not really about the $. I just don't trust them
I mean I was trying to play nice but vw/audi/Porsche are money pits and Porsche is the only one built with any kind of precision. The company isn't trustworthy.
And I am glad that hear that. So much of this stuff comes down to how they manage/diversify suppliers. Had a rear shock fail on my wife's 328 last month. And I mean fail. Pulled it off, of course its labeled as a bmw part. And I look at the shoddy finish work on it... My only clue was "made in Poland" -- Google that.... And fucking Monroe. Replaced it/them with Bilsteins made in Mexico - it seems like Honda has a little closer thumb on the sourcing. You’d love my garage then. “Money pit,” however, does not remotely apply to our experience with either Audi or P-cars. I’d say that reliability and cost to service has been on par with or better than our experience with Acura (TL and MDX).

My 06 Odyssey just won't die. Neither will my 07 Tundra, thank God. I don't think I can ever justify 60K for a pickup.Anything Toyota, Honda or their luxury brands are the best bang for your buck.
