What kind of car do you drive?

I am now the proud owner of this 2008 Corvette, went down to Salt Lake to get it this week. Her name is Scarlet of course and she is getting a vanity plate with a nice "GOBUCKS" on it. 430 hp and has every option possible on it, including Z51 performance handling and push-to-start. Only has 35,000 miles on it, one owner and he must have treated that thing like his child, excellent condition. Absolutely roars when you fire it up and actually gets 10 more MPG on the highway than my other car. Really my first major purchase and I am ecstatic with it.

Do you drag race her on 666 by Prophets Park?

Drove by a dealership today on my lunch break and the 2016 Jeep Wrangler Unlimiteds caught my eye. Was hoping to squeeze two more years out of my Camry but I don't think it'll make it without some major transmission and suspension work.

Every time I see one of the newer Buicks in the lot at work my '98 Century keeps looking worse.

Just dropped $400 for two tires, alignment, and an oil change today, so I don't want to even think about what I'd be spending to fix the suspension (which I could tell needed help before today when they noted it on the form), as well as other issues. I'm sure I could drop a good $2-3k (at least) in total repairs on it if I really wanted to and maybe get another 10 years or more out of it, and it really has been a solid car.

Test driving a Wrangler Unlimited this weekend. First trip around town I got four Jeep waves and two finger points.

This thing handles like wet cement. Looks a lot better than it drives.

Historically some of the worse cars on the road are Jeeps. If you have a great dealer you might be OK.
Or if you're a Jeep lover.
Otherwise stay clear.

Don't listen to these negative nancies; buy it. I miss my Jeep so bad. Loved that thing, but sold it when we moved home to buy the house. Holds resale value. Looks awesome. Can take the top off. Handles weather like a champ. Can customize like crazy (if that's your thing). Has room for kids, groceries, towing.

Nothing better than taking the top off loading the kids up driving nowhere listening to tunes. Even if it was the Frozen soundtrack at times

Driving around in the summer in a jeep with the doors off is one of the finer things.

That's the conundrum. There are 100 reasons why this isn't a practical daily driver, but damn, it's fucking fun to drive, especially with the top off. Turning radius is ridiculous, better than our Honda Odyssey.

70 mph on the Interstate was a white knuckle experience. The solid truck axles aren't forgiving.

We've got the Odyssey and wife's Sonata for practical use, so I guess I'm drunk on the idea of an impractical ride, along with the convertible/doors-off aspect. The most off-roading I'll do is driving over curbs and parking stops, or driving the mulch to the back yard so I don't have to carry it.
