What kind of car do you drive?

Having owned an S5 and now an S4, I can honestly say the S4 is a much better car. It is so much more fun to drive, and I honestly think it looks better.

Just took a drive in the new S6. No V10 anymore, but it's supposedly faster. Audi states 4.4, but one of the magazines tested it out at 3.8 0-60. Top speed would be in the 190s if unregulated. 90% of my limited driving is in the city limits though, so I'll probably wait for the hybrid A3. 150-200 mpg and will still do 0-60 in 7 seconds.

I still can't get the thought of having a 4 door sedan that's faster than my friend's Carrera 4S out of my mind though.

The old S6 was a monster. It was totally a super car in every way but the four doors. The maintenance was crazy... Scheduled maintenance mind you.

I love the new S6 as well, but as @THEWOOD said, fun to drive being a factor, I would agree that the S4 is just about as much fun as anything on the road. The B8 bi-turbo when tuned is unreal. Untuned it's still more car than 99% of drivers should have.

I love the V8 in my S4 and I know that @THEWOOD really likes the bi-turbo 6 in his. The last two S4 platforms have been two of the best all around driving platforms that money can buy.

Most of my driving is around town too, but I wouldn't let that change what I'm driving. If you're really considering, I'd recommend it, especially the B8 platform which I think is much more city driving friendly than the B7.

I just ordered a 2015 Audi S7 in nardo gray with the black ops package. Basically, this*:

* The picture is of an RS7 with custom rims.

I hate you and love you all at the same time. My wife and I were looking at the S7 on the intrawebs this past week just to see what they were, and the RS7 was wonderfully built for the low $100s. Kudos to you my man. I look forward to reading how you enjoy driving it!

My company car is up for renewal in March, so I am beginning to shop around. I'm looking for a fun crossover or small SUV. The firm will pay up to $25k and if I want something more expensive, the difference comes out of my pocket. I'm cheap, though, so I'd prefer not to pay out of pocket. Also, I get to pocket the difference if less than $25k.

I need some suggestions. Here are the parameters:

- small SUV or crossover
- 2011 or later
- $30k or less
- AWD or 4WD
- sub 6 second 0-60
- in the ballpark of 20 mpg or better

What is out there?

I ended up buying one of these after a test drive. 2016 Crosstrek with a 5 speed.
But it isn't afast car at all. Does get great gas milage.35mpg. Very comfortable. Easy to drive. Light steering. car-liket ride. Full time Four wheel drive in the standard trans model. Built in Japan.

A Subaru Forrester would be closer to your parameters.
Bigger motor. Turbo. Built in Japan. Highly rated.

just bought a new truck
2015 GMC Sierra crew cab.

wasn't 100% sure i wanted to buy just yet.

My '09 Sierra only had 74K miles on it and was still looking and running great.
However i wanted to possibly trade it while it's value was still relatively high (i.e. before I crossed the 90K mark).

went check out the dealership, and they still hand a dozen or so '15s on the lot and were really dealing to try to move them.

they knocked nearly 7 grand off the sticker before we even started negotiating. gave me $13k for my trade in, then another $1750 in rebates.

Sticker was $43,900 got it for just under $35,000.

That is a nice $40,000 vehicle! But after dealing with the local BMW/Mini dealership I couldn't recommend any of the Euro cars.
If I'm spending that kind of money I go Lexus. Or even Acura.

Why would you spend that kind of money to bore yourself to death Taos?
