What kind of car do you drive?

I don't want to post a pic. It is crimson. The only color I wouldn't want! Ha. No, it's a pretty car, and I couldn't pass it up on color. Also, it is the CVT transmission. I've only driven a manual before (except a few rentals and driving imbibed friends' cars) and it feels odd at times, but it may just be the way that I am driving it, and the whole variable transmission thing. It just seems like it sputters or hiccups at times if I accelerate really slowly at slow speeds, and only rarely, and only after lots of driving and in inclimate weather. I think I worry too much.

Side note: I just went to the BMV today, and I have to take the written test and get an Ohio license. All I remember is that purple flags are funerals and you are supposed to honk really loudly to show that you care for the loss of a loved one.

CVT transmission cars drive a bit strange. Like some women you either adjust to their quirks or your left feeling never satisfied. I think your just setting yourself up for more heartache. I wish you well.

You'll be trollin' in style. :pimp:

Me? Still running with the 2008 Acura RDX turbo. Not sure how I'm ever going to drive a non-turbo again, now.

4.2L Audi V8

Seriously though, we had a RDX while I had my TL in the shop five or six years ago. Drove it from Chicago to KY on a family trip. It was seriously peppy. Not big enough for us, but it was a pretty sporty drive for the size. Wife drives it's big brother now. We love the MDX.

Haven't driven the Audi so I have no basis for comparison. I initially had to be talked into test driving the RDX because it looked too much like an SUV to me and I expected it to drive like one. I loved my RSX I had before it but hated having to struggle with little space when going biking, etc.. The RDX actually rides BETTER and I have room. Oh yeah, and that turbo thingy.

The MDX? If I ever [strike]make the mistake[/strike] have the good fortune to be in wife & kids mode that will likely be my ride.

:) Well said... A buddy of mine has an RDX... actually, his wife does. It works ok for one baby... a second or when they get older and you're in a MDX for sure.

I drove a 5 speed, no super-charged mini cooper in high school. Loved it! It was like driving around a go-cart with super awesome handling. I'm 6 foot 4 and so is my brother. It had tons of leg room, as long as you're in the front seat. The car was also very safe. Might have saved my life. I got t-boned by some guy going about 35 mph and walked away with nothing more than a sore neck the next day. Mini's have tons of airbags.

Funny story relating to that. The car was all boogered up after that. For some dumb reason, the insurance agency of the guy who hit my car had the damages appraised at a local shop. The totaled it up to about 12 grand on a 15 grand car (at best.) I knew by looking at the car that there was more than 12 grand worth of damage. They fixed it up, gave it back to us, and it was a really [Mark May]ty fix. All the interior work was just messy and the paint was terrible and there was an issue with the transmission. They paid for a rental car for us for the entire summer before finally totaling the car and giving us 15 grand (which was the price we paid for it two years earlier .

I tracked the car on car fax later that year. It was shipped to like Tanzania or somewhere like that :slappy:

Could your Mini Cooper do this?

I drove one of these MDX's on the Autobahn and a new Acura TL as well for a weekend each. Absolute trash on the Autobahn. Steering was rubbery garbage, it hogged down gas over 80mph. I will never own a Honda or Acura after those drives.

Audi's on the other hand on the Autobahn are the [Mark May].

My wife's Mini. It looks meaner now with darkly tinted windows.
Wife got the first ticket! It's got skinny all seasons on it now but the next set will be more appropriate to the racey looks of the car.

It seems a little rude to take up a parking space for something that can fit in your pocket.
