What kind of car do you drive?

LJB--why are the defenders so difficult to find? Is it simply an issue of limited production?
They have not been made for the American market since 1997 because they don't meet US safety regulations (they lack passenger and side-impact airbags, I believe).

My first car purchase was a '95 Mitsubishi 3000GT. Ever since then, I've purchased strictly Hyundais (past: Sonata, Santa Fe presently: Elantra and Accent). Don't have the money to splurge. If I did, then I'd be all over the Audi R8.
I have a friend who owns an A8, an R8, and a Porsche Panamera 4S. He says that the R8 blows away the A8 (which you would expect), but that the Panamera blows away the R8 (and his Panamera is not the turbo version). I have also talked with a number of Porsche/Audi mechanics and test drivers who agree that the Panamera far outperforms the R8. Granted, the R8 looks great, but if you ever do splurge, you should look at the Porsche.

Locked in my memory for future consideration. Thank you very much.

Say what you will about the R8... It is Wwwwwwaaaaaayyyy hotter looking than the Panamera. As I get older the more I like the Carara... But that's for when the kids are @ tOSU.

Honestly it's not much of a shock that the Panamera out runs an R8. I think that Audis tend to be fairly heavy cars. My S4 is two frick'n tons. It needs all those horsies to even get off the line.

Going to go look at wheels tonight. Wish me luck. Not finding anything that is a gun metal that I like. Some flat blacks may work, but it's going on an Audi not a ricer.

In regards to the carbon build-up from FSI engines. Have you had any experience with this yet? Its all new to me. I did have a 2008 A4, that I traded in when I bought the S5. I had about 30k on that car and was unaware of any problems due to carbon.

You know, from what I've read, the problem is with the RS4 primarily. It has to do with how the exhaust is recir'd back to the intake.

Keep good fuel in it and bring your ass out to the burbs sometime so we can hit the roads hard and blow out the carbon.
