What Brands Are You Loyal To?

A lot of ways to spend a lot of money on. that street. Almost all of them good.
I've spent many hours on Jermyn Street over the years. Bought five pairs of shoes, eight pairs of socks, two sweaters, two pairs of eyeglasses, and a pair of pyjamas on this trip alone. Plus several pints at the Red Lion. Good times.

I spent every summer between 2006-2009 in the UK, mainly in London. Our friends had a flat in Hammersmith right near the Brompton Road tube stop. I've walked nearly the whole city many times. I've walked by that exact spot many times. The food court at Harrod's is probably the most impressive in the world.

Team color Allen Edmonds are back for a limited engagement through the end of the month. Browns and Bengals are also available if that's your kink. They're also making a limited run of the Higgins Mill boot made with the Horween football grain leather used in NFL balls.

Was going to send this in a message, but thought that others might benefit from my ignorance. :)
@ORD_Buckeye- For those of us who are looking at getting a pair of Allen Edmonds, can you help differentiate- Park Avenue -v- Fifth Avenue (looks like it's primarily toe cap design).
And for boots, Pattons vs Higgins Mill?
Thanks in advance...

Fifth Avenue has that bit of broguing on the toe cap, so a bit less formal. They're both built on the same last, so essentially the same shoe other than the broguing Both are Oxfords (look at the lacing), so pretty formal and (in my mind) would look out of place with jeans or chinos.

Pattons are an ankle height boot. Higgins Mills go up the calf a couple of inches higher.

Perfect... thank you!
And now off to the Shoe Bank website...

Throwing out another option for boots. I just got two pairs from Thursday Boot Co (https://thursdayboots.com/), a pair of gray suede chelseas and a pair of brown captoes. This is my first try for this brand but at $200 a pop for goodyear welted shoes (albeit made in China) that have consistently good reviews I wanted to give them a go. Received them yesterday and the quality seems very good, fit was nice, and the colors were exactly what I wanted. Wearing the cap toes today, so just breaking in, but they're pretty comfy for day one. I'll follow up after I've put some wear on these as well as post about the chelseas once I get into them.

Wearing the chelseas today. This is my first pair in this style so not a lot to compare them to. Very comfortable for these first few hours of wear. I wasn't terribly confident the shadow gray color would be versatile for my wardrobe but after laying out a few different outfit combos it actually mixes well with both light/dark and casual/less-casual options. Probably wouldn't pair them with a suit but I also have other footwear for those occasions. I'll update more on both pairs as I put some wear on them.

Bought this recently. Quality is really good. They make a ton of regular Shetland sweaters, but they also do something called Voe wool. Which are wild sheep on the island that free roam and eat seaweed. The wool is undyed, so you're getting the literal color of the sheep ranging from off white to grey/silver to light brown to dark brown. 102 pounds for a sweater isn't cheap, but for British wool and made in the UK (in this case everything is literally done on the island where the sheep are), it ain't bad. A UK sweater in merino or lambswool is gong to run you 200-400, and a UK made cashmere sweater probably starts at 400 pounds.
