What Brands Are You Loyal To?

Worn them once. So far, so good. Frankly, with the Covids I’m going through my Ultraboosts every 2.5 months. Buy stock in Adidas so long as I’m basically confined to my office / home gym.
where you picking up your ultra boost... i’ve been looking to try but refuse to pay the list price

Sad to say, I’m paying retail and doing so happily. It’s been a long time since I’ve had shoes perform as well as these do and when I want / need them... I just buy them. They are, without question, some of the most comfortable shoes I’ve ever owned. They do break down, but I’m putting at least an hour+ every day on them in workouts.

$99 for Ultra19s

I have a couple pair of 19s and one pair of 17s left. The 17s have more padding on the tongue area but the 19s fit like a sock. For exercising I like the 19s.

I generally have a wide foot, really a high instep, which was a bit of a concern due to the sock-like construction. They take about a week or so to stretch out to fit my foot and all’s good.

My wife uses Brooks. Swears by them. I’ve not worn them in years. I’ve been Asics and Nike primarily for years but have been disappointed by both recently. $99 for 19s is a pretty good deal I think. I’m pretty sure that my last pair were $40+ more. That could be the color that I got though. It’s all a bit confusing. There do seem to be really good deals if you don’t mind some of their color combinations. Some of them are really bad tho.

I bought a couple pairs of Brooks Ghost.... spent all day walking around Athens a couple of years ago... feet felt amazing... I have 3 pairs in boxes in my closet... I had a minor issue with two pair, emailed brooks they sent me 2 new pair for free...

Nope. Likely not gonna. Not my style, man. I appreciate the work that you and others put into it... but I’m a little rough around the edges, intentionally. I keep the unkept but classy-unkept look.

There's a practical sense to it though. That leather has been sitting on a rack since it left the tannery and in a box since it left the AE factory. It's dried out, practically fucking parched. Nourish it with some cream polish to prevent creasing and cracking as you start to wear it. And one light coat of wax polish on top of that will give some protection from scuffs, rain, snow, salt etc.

Don't need to turn 'em into fuckin' mirrors. Just some cream polish and a quick buffing with a horsehair brush will protect them. You can replace the soles, but if the uppers go South on you, you're proper fucked.

My tweed samples from Scotland arrived today. Jacket photos to come in four or five months.
