What book are you currently reading, or recommend?

Finishing this up this week. Turns out there are several stories from more modern books/movies that have been lifted from these old folktales.

I was surprised to learn that the Troll scene in the first part of The Hobbit was borrowed from one of these old stories - it's not exact, but it's close.

The part of The Adventures of Baron Munchausen where the Baron meets his companions and the tasks they perform for him are almost 100% lifted from one of these tales, too.

Overall I wouldn't recommend this. It's one to cross of the list, but it's not a great group of stories.

I've enjoyed the read so far. I'm going through the NPR Top 100 Sci-Fi books of all time. So, I've been enjoying a lot of reading lately.

His life up until he had his musical break through. Horribly bleak childhood in Britain. Makes one appreciate the US even more.
