This edition of Call of Duty is the real deal. I just wish Infinity Ward was a bigger entity so it could just drop from the series and just produce Modern Warfare games. Call of Duty has ruined the franchise by "playing two QB's"...

True. Every time I buy a Treyarch release, I like it for about a month, then its gets stale FAST. So weird.

I'm looking forward to MW3, but I'm happy with BF3 at the moment.

It sucks that about a third of IW development team up and left because of the legal disputes with Activision. However, they have reportedly made their own company called Respawn Entertainment and have a new game in the works. Should be good.

So I have been out of the video game playing bit for a while now. However I am getting my wisdom teeth out the week before Christmas. I am taking the whole week off of work and plan to sit on the couch and milk it for all I can. I am looking to pick up 2 video games for my PS3. Was thinking MW3 is a must, but curious to see what others think. Also Batman is a possibility.

If you like sports games, you have to give FIFA a try. It'll be surprisingly enjoyable.

Downloaded Quake HD tonight to take a peek at it. It's a highly modified version of original Quake for PC with hi-res everything - other than the block-head models [link here]. My eleven year old walks over and says, "Daddy, what are you playing? Oh wow! That's like Minecraft with guns!"

Just added some mods to Civ 5. Some new civs, some new scenerios, a full package of civs from ancient tribal China, three Kingdoms of Korea mod. All kinds of cool stuff to make the game essentially all new again. Currently playing as Anacaona of the Carribean tribes. Big boost to sea resources, but really weak elsewhere.
