What are you currently watching on TV?

Jeff Ross Roast of Cops. Great show. Really well done. There were so many good lines, but he finished with {para-phrase}, Every day cops go out and put their lives on the line to protect us all... and firemen still get all the pussy."

I just watched season two of Narcos. If you are functionally bilingual but not perfect with Spanish, you will love the show. The subtitles are very far from the words said, and really say a lot about translation.

They translate "puta" so many different ways in that show.

Love the show. I'm currently on episode 6 of season 2.

And that theme song is so damn catchy.

I can't remember something specific, but it is much more common than just weirdness in the translation of swear words. Like, in Spanish it will be said that "of course I would do that," and the captioning may say something like "okay, maybe." Just something totally different in intent.

I really wonder why they did this. . . And I watch, not a ton, but a decent amount of Spanish movies. I guess they don't always have the subtitles unless they got famous, but. . . weird.

Belle Epoch (which happens to have a young Penelope Cruz) is good, Like Water for Chocolate, more if you want recommendations of ones with titles.

I've watched a few of the new shows this week including Bull, Lethal Weapon, and Designated Survivor. I think all were good enough to garner another episode or two before I decide to stick with it or not. Lethal Weapon was a fun watch and Wayans and his counterpart were both decent.

It's been rough for a few years. Gibbs turned into such a wimp.

We gave up on it late last year.

Gave it up when we cut the cord a couple years ago right at the end when Ziva was leaving the show. When Tony left they shoulda just ended it

Once Ziva left they lost a large chunk of the shows edge. With Tony gone there is none left. The new cast members starting with the addition of Bishop and now Fez and Stacey from Spin City are horrid.....

Westworld. I'm not sure whether I'm ready to invest time in this one. After the first episode, I'm more into it than I thought I'd be; some/most of the acting is good and there's obviously conceptual depth. Giving it one more episode, but as I type that I know that deadline will keep being extended. "Good night, Wesley. Sleep well, I'll most likely kill you in the morning."
