What are you currently watching on TV?

I have been binge watching Doctor Who from the start of the new series. But I've also been binge watching Arrested Development as well. That is since Walking Dead comes back on in January. And breaking bad ended it's run a few months ago.

Been working my through the entire Deep Space Nine series (never saw it as I was out of the country for pretty much its entire run.

And here, I'll save someone the trouble with the obligatory.

Considering what they have to work with, well, anything would be an improvement. Having what is essentially Mike, Tom & Crow doing commentary certainly blunts the mind-numbing horror that is that "show".

BTW, Rifftrax does in-theater programs periodically, too. I've taken a couple people to shows this year: Santa Claus Conquers the Martians in December, and Night of the Living Dead in October. It's fun to watch the guys do their thing with a theater-full of people.

Switched away from the games to take a breather from the losses, put on LOTR2. Was in the kitchen finishing dinner during one of Gollum's big scenes, so just audio.

He was my biggest disappointment from the films--couldn't stand him, actually. Not close to what I'd always envisioned when reading. But, as a kid I always did love Donald Duck. Anybody ever just listen to Gollum? It's Donald.

I had heard positive reviews of the new TV Sitcom The Goldbergs so I decided to catch up on this fist season (22 episodes scheduled). I watched the first 7-8 of this season so far with my gf yesterday and we were laughing pretty thoroughly. There are some holes in regards to the 80s with phrases used and clothing and whatnot but if you can look past that it's a pretty good portrayal of a lot of families during that time (I know it was mine, especially with the dad always sitting around in his underwear).

Just finished up S4 of Justified. In addition to the regulars there was one hell of a guest cast this season. Ron Eldard, Mike O'Malley, Gerald McRaney, Tom Beaver and my personal favorite Patton Oswalt as Constable Bob 'Beef Stew' Sweeney.

Constable Bob: "That's my 'go bag', if the shit hits the fan it's got everything I need if I have to go."
Raylan Givens: "What, like toilet paper?"

Justified has actually been my favorite show the past couple of years.

I was one of the few who started with Breaking Bad from the beginning and as great as that show was, for large parts of the final couple of years it just wasn't enjoyable to watch. Brilliant yes, but damn painful too. Justified is really a pretty dark show at it's core too, but it doesn't make you hate humanity like BB did at times.
